North Higgins Lake State Park

North Higgins Lake State Park sits in the beautiful region of Michigan, providing the region with outdoor fun through all seasons. This state park has been around for quite a while now, and it now sits on what once was the region of Michigan's largest seedling nursery.

This park has campsites, a CCC museum, nature trails, running trails, picnic tables, picnic shelters, a boat launch, swimming areas, smaller cabins, and open availability for all types of recreational activities. Dogs can also come and visit North Higgins Lake State Park, but they must remain on a six-foot-long leash during their entire stay. 

During your time in this park, you must follow the rules and regulations that are enforced by the North Higgins Lake State Park. Dogs must be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before they can enter the park, and female pooches in heat and young pups under four months old must remain back at home. 

Dogs must be well-mannered before they come to North Higgins Lake State Park as this park does not tolerate any aggressive behavior, and humans must clean up and watch over their dogs while they are here. Humans should also bring water and dog bags for all of their fun adventures in this park.
