North Hudson County Dog Park (James L Braddock Park)

North Hudson County Dog Park is located on the same grounds as James L. Braddock Park in North Bergen, New Jersey. This dedicated dog facility has undergone a number of names and is sometimes referred to as Braddock Dog Park as well. Both the family-centric park and the dog park are namesakes for Mr. James L. Braddock, a heavyweight boxing champion who was an inspiration to many people in the North Bergen area during the Great Depression. 

There is not a lot of information about the dog run at this facility. It is fenced to ensure dogs remain safe during their off-leash activity. A special section for shy, elderly, or little dogs is available at the park to prevent any accidents or intimidation. In accordance with New Jersey law, all dogs must remain leashed when not in a designated off-leash zone.

North Hudson County Dog Park is a public dog playground, and access to the property is provided to all people and their pooches free of charge. Since it is unknown if poop bags or water are available on the grounds, owners are advised to ensure they have all that they need with them for a great day of fun at the park. As mandated by New Jersey by-laws, the responsibility for pet waste removal lies with all dog owners. 

James L. Braddock Park has many recreational attractions to offer visiting families. Among the great outdoor activities are a playground which replicates the New York City skyline, a water park., a lake, a running track, and several sports fields suitable for baseball, handball tennis, football, and soccer. The property itself consists of 167 acres most of which borders the lake. 

This park is well-renowned for its stunning views and clean, spacious grounds. Though there are no officially posted rules regarding the use of North Hudson County Dog Park, it is understood that vaccinations are highly recommended.
