Ocean County Dog Park

Ocean County Dog Park is a dedicated dog playground in Lakewood, New Jersey. Housed on four acres of property, Ocean County Dog Park is home to two fenced play spaces suitable for off-leash play. Founded with a desire to provide a safe enclosure for off-leash exercise and socialization, these two play areas are divided to include one section for use by small dogs with the other reserved for larger dogs. 

This allows dogs to play with dogs that are better-suited to their size, age, and personality, ensuring the safety of all dogs and protecting against injuries and accidents. With the utmost of safety in mind, owners must make certain they have ready access to a lead at all times. When not engaged in play in the designated off-leash zones, all dogs must remain on a leash. Ocean County Dog Park is a private dog playground, and a nominal yearly fee is required to gain access to the grounds. 

An annual permit costs $5. To be granted entrance to the dog play areas, owners must furnish their permit and photo identification. At the time of application, owners must also provide proof of vaccinations and a current city dog license. The dog runs are staffed by volunteers beginning three hours after opening and commencing again three hours prior to closing. It is unknown what amenities are housed in the dog runs.
