Old Louisville Dog Run

The Old Louisville Dog Run is a furrific off-leash park located within Toonerville Trolley Park. This dog run is a great place to spend the day with your furry best friend!

Old Louisville Dog Run has two fenced, double-gated areas that welcome dogs of all sizes. One of these areas was built over an old tennis court, and the other area is filled with grass. The grassy area also has a kiddy pool that’s great for hot summer days, and it has a hose you can use to fill your dog’s bowl. Both areas have lots of space for dogs to run around, and they’re also perfect for games of fetch. Doggy bags are also available in both areas.

After your dog is finished playing in the off-leash area, take them for a leashed stroll through scenic Toonerville Trolley Park. This two-acre park has a paved pathway to walk on with your pup. This pathway takes you past the park’s tennis courts, playground, and a beautiful community garden filled with herbs and flowers. You and your dog will both have a great time walking here!

Before using Old Louisville Dog Run, you’ll have to fill out an application and pay an annual fee. Then, bring this application and proof of your dog’s rabies vaccinations to one of the Feeder Supply stores located throughout Louisville. After submitting this application, you’ll be given a permit that can be used at the majority of the dog parks in Louisville. 

Old Louisville Dog Run is a fun park where your pup can run and play to their heart’s content. Be sure to clean up after your dog while you’re out in the park, and have a pawtastic time with your pup!
