You can sit down on a picnic bench as you watch your pup have fun on the agility equipment or just playing with other dogs. The fenced-in park is lined with a chain linked fence and gates. The ground is very grassy and there are few trees to provide shade, so be sure to keep your dog hydrated with some water from home. Also, keep an eye on your pup for any poop and be sure to pick up after him with the bags you brought from home.
All residents must follow the rules of the complex and be courteous of neighbors, too. Keep your dog on-leash until he is in the fenced-in park and make sure thy answer to your call. Your dog should be vaccinated, healthy, and not in heat when fraternizing with other pups. If your dog is new to the park scene, take them at times when it isn't busy so they can get adjusted to the environment. Meeting only one or two dogs is less stressful than meeting an entire pack.
The Pheasant Run Apartment Complex seems to create a pawsitively pet-friendly environment. While this park is located within the apartment complex community on Eagles Way Drive, there is parking available in front of the park. In addition to this bark park, they also host costume contests and group gatherings that promote a sense of community between the residents and their dogs. They even host a Paws in the Pool Party where dogs and their owners can jump in the deep end and swim around together!
