The Riverside Dog Park is located at Joseph A. Carucci Jr. Park, also known as Riverside County Park. It’s a spacious property designated for dogs to have fun and run off-leash. The area is fenced-in and has double entrance and exit gates for security. There are two separate areas you can choose from depending on your dog’s breed size. Smaller breeds and larger dogs each have their own designated area.Â
There are benches located throughout the dog park for pet owners to enjoy and relax as they watch their dog play. There are trees in the park that provide shade to cool off under on hot summer days. The Riverside Dog Park at Joseph A. Carucci Jr. Park also provides a water faucet for the dogs along with a few community water bowls. Pet parents that prefer for their dog to have their own bowl can bring one along and provide it for their dog outside the gated dog park area to prevent aggression.Â
Aggressive dogs are not tolerated at this dog park. The first sign of aggression should encourage pet parents to take action immediately by leashing your dog and escorting them out of the park. The Riverside Dog Park also provides toys for the dogs, but owners are encouraged to bring along a ball and toys for their dog to share with others. Fetch is a great game to play at this park since there is a lot of room to run.Â
Ice cream and food vendor trucks often visit the parking lot near the dog park. Pet parents shouldn’t leave their dog un-supervised when visiting the vendors. Always ask a fellow pet parent to watch your dog to assure they are well supervised. Overall, this is a great dog park that is welcoming for dogs and pet parents. You can relax while you watch your dog make new friends or you can play alongside your dog and have lots of fun.Â
