You must register in person at the cities parks and recreations office located on Atlantic City Boulevard in Bayville. There is water provided at this dog park in the form of a water hose at the entrance. Be sure to bring your bowl so your canine can stay hydrated in the sun.
This dog park is fenced, and they do separate the land into two different sections, one for large and one for small canines and puppies. The turf here is all sand. The sand can turn into a mud fest after heavy rain and even when it is dry out; your canine will likely leave this park quite dirty.
Large trees line the park but are not large enough to produce any significant shade until the sun is going down. There are no trees or pavilions inside the fenced dog park to provide any shade on a hot day. The park has plenty of seating in the form of benches at the entrance to this dog park and placed along the fence line.
The grounds are well maintained and remain relatively clean. Disposal bags are available at the front of this dog park, and garbage cans are scattered throughout the park. These cans are emptied regularly. Outside of the central section of the dog park, which is entirely sand, there is also a small forest biome at this park.
The Robert J. Miller Air Dog Park makes for a beautiful place for your canine to walk through, though it is not any sort of hiking trail or anything that you could expect your canine to come out of worn out. It is more for novelty purposes and placed there for aesthetic reasons.
