The Saddle River County Dog Park is located at the Wild Duck Pond area. The dog park is an enclosed area designated for dogs to run and play with others off-leash. There are two areas available, one side is for smaller dogs, and the other is for larger dog breeds. There is free parking available, but it takes a few minutes to find a space on busy days.Â
Pet parents are encouraged to keep their dog on a leash until they fully enter the gated entrance of the dog park. When you are safely inside the designated area, you can remove your dog’s leash so they can run around and enjoy their freedom. Remember to bring along water for your dogs to keep them hydrated.Â
There is a lot of space at the Saddle River County Dog Park so your dog will run off their energy quickly which can lead to dehydration. You can also bring along a water bowl for your dog. Provide the water bowl for your dog outside of the gated dog park to prevent other dogs from drinking the water.Â
Aggression sometimes happens between dogs, if your dog exhibits aggressive behavior towards others you need to carefully and quickly remove them from the park for security reasons. You also need to fix any issues your dog caused to others by dealing directly with the other party involved.Â
Remember to get your dog vaccinated and licensed before visiting this dog park. You need to display both tags on your dog’s collar. You are responsible for picking up after your dog and need to bring along plastic doggie waste bags every time you visit. This a lovely dog park that is great to visit frequently. Your dog will become comfortable with the routine and enjoy socializing with other dogs as well as playing an awesome game of fetch.Â
