Saline Dog Park (at Mill Pond Park)

The Saline Dog Park at Mill Pond Park is a beautiful dog park with green grass and an accessible river. Dogs that enjoy running around playing, swimming or splashing around in the water will love this dog park. The designated dog area is fenced-in on three sides. 

The fourth side is the river that acts as an enclosure. You can allow your dogs to run free without worrying they will run away. All dogs visiting this park need to be on a leash until entering the designated area. Pet parents are required to put their dog on a leash when leaving the area as well. 

There is a bench overlooking the river that pet parents are welcome to sit on and watch their dogs swim and play. You can also play a great game of fetch on land or in the water. Just make sure you bring along a ball that floats. 

This dog park has a peaceful atmosphere that is excellent for dog owners that want to relax and spend time with their dogs. The park is so vast; you have space to yourself on a busy day. It is perfect for dogs to socialize or learn socialization skills. 

Owners are required to keep the park clean and pick up after their dogs. Bring along poop bags and be prepared to hold on to it for a while until you find a trash can. Your dog also needs to have a vaccination and license tags on their collar when visiting this dog park. 

There are small trees in the dog park area, but they don’t provide a lot of shade. You need to bring along water for you and your dog plus a bowl. Some dogs drink from the river, but it is not recommended. Overall, this is an excellent dog park that you will want to visit on a daily basis.
