Description
Sleeper State Park, also commonly known as Albert E. Sleeper State Park, is a recreational facility and campground in Caseville, Michigan. This stunning state park is a destination hotspot for dogs and their owners alike. With 723 acres of forest to explore, Sleeper State Park offers respite and relaxation from the busyness of city life.

Dogs are permitted to join their families on the grounds, but in accordance with Michigan state law, they must remain leashed and are not allowed access to public beach areas. There is no specific dog play section, and as a result, there are also no amenities provided for dogs on the premises.

To ensure Fido has access to a cool drink when needed, owners should bring drinking water with them. The responsibility for all pet waste removal lies with each owner. For this reason, owners should carry poop bags with them at all times. Sleeper State Park, a public recreational spot and campground, permits entrance to their facility at no cost to people and their pooches.

However, the on-site cabins and cottages are available by reservation only and are fee-based. This beautiful recreational haven offers many outdoor activities for families to enjoy. Among the opportunities are hiking, biking, paddle sports, skiing and snowboarding (in season), hunting, and cross-country skiing.

There are also several areas which offer boat access as well as multiple fishing piers. The terrain at Sleeper State Park is quite varied, treating owners and their dogs to a sampling of wetlands, prairies, beaches, and sand dunes. The trails are of varying difficulties, ensuring there is something suited to the fitness level of each member of the family.

This park earns high marks from its visitors for its clean and well-maintained grounds. Some do note that though Wifi is provided, it is quite weak, and access is not guaranteed. Dogs visiting Sleeper State Park must be current on all vaccinations. Michigan law also mandates a city dog license. For a great vacation getaway, consider a trip to Sleeper State Park!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
