Sterling State Park

Sterling State Park is located in Michigan and it's the only state park on Lake Erie. Placed near cities like Detroit, Cleveland, Toledo, Chicago or Windsor, it is one of the greatest attractions for people who want to escape the concrete jungles even for a day.

If you'd rather stay on land than go fishing, then make sure you're wearing the right boots. There are six miles of hiking trails waiting for you to discover them. You can stop from time to time and observe the wildlife closely. During the winter, this hiking trail is perfect for skiing as well. 

Taking your dog with you at Sterling State Park is a fun way of spending bonding time together in the wilderness. The park offers an excellent environment for your furry friend to explore and meet other dogs. To avoid unpleasant situations, Fido must wear a leash at all times and be under your immediate control during your stay here. 

Always carry a waste bag with you, as cleaning after your pet is one of the ground rules at Sterling State Park. The last piece of advice is to try to keep Fido away from interacting with wildlife, whether it's a bird or a squirrel.
