Though there is not a specific area designated for use by small, shy, or elderly dogs, dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds are warmly welcomed to come join the fun in the one on-site play area. Off-leash play is the focus of Stevens Dog Park; however, park officials insist on proper safety precautions to prevent accidents or injuries. With this in mind, it is necessary for all owners to carry a leash with them.
In accordance with New Jersey law, dogs are strictly forbidden to ever be on grass or unpaved areas that are not designated off-leash zones. In addition to this, dogs must remain on a lead of no more than six feet in length when on paved paths. Stevens Dog Park is a public dog playground. Park officials invite all dogs and their owners to enjoy their fenced run.
Housed within the enclosure are a plentiful supply of drinking water and water bowls. There is also bench-style seating in well-shaded areas to ensure that Fido and his family stay cool during the heat of the day. Also provided for the convenience of all owners are poop bags. The onus for all pet waste removal falls to each owner.
Bathrooms are available at a nearby location. Stevens Dog Park has instituted no specific regulations regarding the use of their dog play haven. However, vaccinations are always highly recommended as is a city dog license. Looking for a new dog park to explore? Why not bring Fido to visit Stevens Dog Park?
