However, do not bring snacks or toys (for you or Scruffy), as the park's rules prohibit these in an effort to discourage unnecessary aggression or dominance. The park does provide poop bags and the posted rules make it clear owners are expected to pick up after their dogs.
Other rules include keeping your dog on leash until he is inside the double gates and make sure he wears his license tags. Make sure your dog is up to date on vaccinations and not in heat. If you've never taken your dog to an off-leash dog park before, it's best to go during slow times and let him get acclimated to the atmosphere.
Make sure he responds to your call, as all dogs must be under voice control. If your dog is a digger, the park asks you to fill in any holes he may leave behind. Do not take your dog to the park if he is younger than four months. The park has a lovely sign that reads "Mount Olive Township Dog Park" that was donated by Mt. Olive Veterinary Hospital.
According to the official site, the Township of Mount Olive built the Turkey Brook Dog Park to give dogs and their owners a chance to maintain a healthy lifestyle by playing with other pups and people, running free in the off-leash area and just enjoying the great outdoors.
