The Waggin' Tails Bark Park is located on the same premises as Louis Jenn Memorial Park in Lawrence, Indiana. Made with a desire to provide a safe space where dogs could enjoy off-leash play, Waggin' Tails Bark Park is pleased to offer a fully fenced run suitable for this purpose.
Though many parks now include a separate play area for use by small, shy, or senior dogs, it is unknown if there is an enclosure reserved for their use at this beloved dog playground. To ensure the safety of all dogs enjoying this doggy play haven, owners must maintain close access to a leash at all times.
As with most dog parks, dogs must remain on a lead when not in an area that is designated specifically for off-leash activity. Waggin' Tails Bark Park is a public dog facility; however, a membership is required to access the grounds. Memberships are available at the cost of $40 per dog for Lawrence residents and $50 per dog for non-residents. Memberships are valid for a year.
At the time of registration, owners are also required to pay a one time fee of $25 for a key which permits access to the park. In addition to this, an application and a current Lawrence water bill must be furnished. Waggin' Tails Bark Park limits membership to 500 people at a maximum.
The dog play runs contain a plentiful amount of drinking water via an on-site fountain. Also included in the play areas is some agility equipment. It is not known if poop bags are provided on the grounds. Since owners are responsible for all pet cleanup, it is wise for them to bring bags from home in case the park is in short supply or does not provide any.
There are no public bathrooms housed on the grounds. Vaccinations are encouraged and recommended as is a city dog license. Looking for a great new dog park to explore? Bring Fido for a visit to Waggin' Tails Bark Park!
