Description
Waterloo Recreation Area is the biggest state park in the Lower Peninsula of this area, providing all types of visitors with fun, adventure, and pure bliss on any day of the week. This park covers 20,000 acres, and it is full of recreational enjoyment that is quite diverse. Many people call the Waterloo Recreation Area their favorite spot in the area due to all that it has to offer. 

When you come and visit the Waterloo Recreation Area, you will find many different types of amenities that are available for your enjoyment. There are campgrounds, cabins, beaches, picnic tables, picnic shelters, hiking trails, mountain biking trails, horseback riding trails, a discovery center, and so much more. 

Dogs can also come to this state park region, but they must remain on a six-foot-long leash during their entire stay. During your time in this park, you must follow the rules and regulations that are enforced by the state park system. Dogs must be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before they can enter the park, and female pooches in heat and young pups under four months old must remain back at home. 

All canines and their humans must be well-mannered before they come to the Waterloo Recreation Area as this park does not tolerate any aggressive behavior. Also, humans must clean up and watch over their dogs while they are here. In addition, all pet parents should also bring water and dog bags for all of their fun adventures in this park. 

If you wish to camp here, you must schedule a reservation. Reservations can be made on the park's main website or in the park's main office. Overall, the Waterloo Recreation Area is a beautiful area to visit during any season.
