Waveland State Historic Site

Waveland State Historic Site sits in the beautiful state of Kentucky, providing visitors with endless opportunities of fun. This park holds the Joseph Bryan estate as well as other historical buildings. Here at this site, you will see many different historical spots where families and slaves lived in Waveland. It is fitting for anyone that wants to travel back to the 1850s. 

When you come and visit the Waveland State Historic Site, you will find many different amenities that are available for your enjoyment. There are picnic tables, picnic pavilions, gardens, a museum, playgrounds, a gift shop, a trail, and availability for a wide range of recreational activities. 

You can also go on guided tours at the Waveland State Historic Site. Dogs can come to this park as well, but they must remain on a six-foot-long leash during their entire stay, and they cannot go into the historic buildings. During your time at this historical site, you must follow the rules and regulations that are enforced by the state park authorities. 

Dogs must be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before they can enter the historical site, and female pooches in heat and young pups under four months old must remain back at home. Dogs must be well-mannered before they come to Waveland State Historic Site as this park does not tolerate any aggressive behavior, and humans must clean up and watch over their dogs while they are here. 

Humans should also bring water and dog bags for all of their fun adventures in this park. If you want to go on a guided tour of this site, you must schedule a reservation. Reservations can be made on the site's main website or in the park's main office. Overall, Waveland State Historic Site is filled with beauty, history, and pure charm.
