Wellington Dog Park

This park has a large fenced in area for canines to run around and have a good time. It hosts pavilions for shade, walking paths, washing areas, and watering stations. Bags are available for dog waste, and disposal locations are provided. The fenced area is separated into three sections for different sizes of dogs. Aggressive dogs of any size are not permitted in the leashless area, even if on a leash as they may get approached by another dog. 

For you and your family to enjoy, there are beach volleyball courts and playgrounds. Sundays at 2 pm they host an open acoustic session at the dog park here. The Wellington Dog Park spans 3.5-acres and has tons of room to run around, even divided out into smaller sections for dogs of different sizes. 

Needless to say, this park has all the amenities and is absolutely gorgeous. You're required to follow a pretty strict set of rules for dog owners to maintain the peace and quality of the park, going all the way up to rules regarding barking. Those rules can be found on Wellington parks website (listed below).

This park has had a lot of reports of dogs fighting and owners allowing their dogs to exhibit inappropriate or violent behavior. For this reason, many reviews of this park seem to bring it down quite a bit. The problem would seem like isolated incidents, but the statement itself seems too prevalent in comments about the park, and over too many years. It would seem disingenuous to not include information regarding the aggressive behavior. It does seem like the park enforces its rules to the best of their ability, but take caution your first few times going to this park. The city also holds the stance of "at-your-own-risk" meaning you retain all the liability.
