The majority of Whatcom Falls Park is an on-leash park for dogs, however, the Waterline Trail and west of the water treatment plant is designated as an off-leash area for dogs visiting Whatcom Falls. It is also known as a great location for off-leash training. After a great walk on the trails, you and your dog can take a quick dip in Lake Whatcom in Bloedel Donovan Park.
Dogs should be licensed and up-to-date on vaccinations. While on the majority of the trails within the park, your dog should be leashed. When in the designated off-leash areas owners must be in control of their dogs at all times and carry the leash with them. You should maintain voice or sound control of your dog. Do not allow your dog to disturb any natural areas or wildlife while on trails or in designated off-leash areas. Also, dogs in heat are not allowed in off-leash areas.Â
