Go! Solutions Carnivore and Sensitivities Dry Cat Food
Go! Solutions Carnivore dry cat food
Go! Solutions Carnivore dry cat food is a grain-free cat kibble with high protein levels as its main selling point.
The first several ingredients in each formula are a whole cut of meat or a meat meal, suggesting these recipes are high in animal protein. For example, the top seven ingredients in the Grain-Free Chicken, Turkey + Duck recipe are whole cuts of meat or meat meals. Meat meals are highly processed but contain 300% more protein than unprocessed meat.
Secondary ingredients include fruits and veggies like
pumpkin,
carrots,
peas, bananas, pomegranate, and
cranberries, which provide natural sources of essential nutrients.
These recipes include
probiotics like Lactobacillus acidophilus dried fermentation product to promote gut health. Usually, only high-quality cat foods contain probiotics and prebiotics.
Go! Solutions Carnivore dry cat foods have excellent protein and fat percentages. The Grain-Free Chicken, Turkey + Duck formula contains above-average protein (51.1% as dry matter) and above-average fat (20% as dry matter) compared to standard dry cat food.

Go! Solutions Sensitivities dry cat food
Go! Solutions Sensitivities is a limited-ingredient food range for felines with
food allergies or sensitivities.
Each grain-free formula includes a single novel animal protein source with whole cuts of meat as the top ingredient. The Grain-Free Insect recipe lists dried black soldier fly larvae as the main ingredient.
Common secondary ingredients in these recipes include peas, lentils, chickpeas, and pea flour. These ingredients are generally nutritious and good fiber sources but are high in plant-based protein. Plant-based proteins aren't nutritionally complete for cats as they don't include some essential amino acids found in animal protein.
Go! Solutions Sensitivities dry cat foods have slightly better-than-average protein-to-fat ratios — the Grain-Free Insect recipe contains 33.3% protein and 16.6% fat as dry matter.

Go! Solutions Skin + Coat Care and Weight Management + Joint Care dry cat food
Go! Solutions Skin + Coat Care dry cat food
Go! Solutions Skin + Coat Care dry cat foods are similar to the Carnivore range — the meat meal and meat are the top ingredients, backed up by a mix of fruit, veggies, and probiotics.
One main difference is that this range includes several ingredients that keep your feline friend's skin and coat in prime condition.
Both flavors include salmon meal and flaxseed, which are excellent
omega-3 fatty acid sources that help keep your cat's skin hydrated and their coat shiny. Both recipes also feature chicken fat, which is rich in linoleic acid that supports coat and skin health and boosts immunity.
Go! Solutions Skin + Coat Care recipes have similar macronutrient levels to the Sensitivities range — Skin+ Coat Care Grain-Free Salmon dry food contains 33.3% protein and 15.5% fat as dry matter.

Go! Solutions Weight Management + Joint Care dry cat food
The ingredient quality of Go! Solutions Weight Management + Joint Care dry cat food is pretty similar to the other dry ranges but has ingredients proven to help with weight and joint concerns.
Both recipes contain psyllium husk,
flaxseed, and other fibrous produce like potatoes to help cats stay fuller for longer with minimal calories. Go! Solutions add L-carnitine to this range — an amino acid that promotes healthy muscle growth and helps break down fatty acids.
An excellent ingredient for joint health in this range is New Zealand green mussels, which
studies suggest can reduce inflammation and symptoms of joint-related diseases like
arthritis.
Go! Solutions say these recipes have 50% less fat than its other dry foods — which is true, depending on the recipe. The Weight Management + Joint Care Grain-Free Chicken recipe contains 33.3% protein and 11.1% fat as dry matter.

Go! Solutions wet cat food product ranges and flavors
Go! Solutions wet cat foods come packaged in a carton, with two grain-inclusive varieties on the market.
Go! Solutions Wet Cat Food
Go! Solutions Carnivore wet cat food
All Go! Solutions Carnivore wet cat foods are premium quality — they're made without
grains, animal by-products, soy, or artificial preservatives.
The top five ingredients in each variety are a mix of whole cuts of meat, liver, broth, and tapioca. Tapioca isn't particularly nutritious but is highly digestible and works as a binding agent. Beneficial secondary ingredients include
dried egg whites, flaxseed, pumpkin, and cranberries, providing sources of fiber, fatty acids, protein, and
antioxidants.
Go! Solutions Carnivore wet foods are rich in protein — the Carnivore Grain-Free Chicken, Turkey + Duck recipe has above-average protein (45.4% as dry matter) and above-average fat (25% as dry matter) compared to run-of-the-mill wet foods.

Go! Solutions Sensitivities wet cat food
Go! Solutions offer two wet foods in its Sensitivities range — a pollock or
duck paté. The duck recipe includes dried egg whites; however, it's unclear whether these are duck eggs or chicken eggs, meaning it might be unsuitable for cats with
chicken allergies.
Meat, broth, and tapioca are the top three ingredients. Go! Solutions add pumpkin and cranberries to support sensitive stomachs. These recipes are made from around a dozen main ingredients, making them a good choice for cats with sensitive stomachs.
Go! Solutions Sensitivities Grain-Free Duck wet cat food has a bit of a high fat-to-protein ratio, likely due to the use of duck as the main ingredient. It consists of 34% protein and 25% fat as dry matter.

Go! Solutions Skin + Coat Care wet cat food
Skin + Coat Care is Go! Solutions' only grain-inclusive wet cat food range, with brown rice and oats as the main grains. Both recipes list two whole cuts of meat and broth as the top three ingredients. It's worth noting the Salmon Paté with Grains formula includes chicken.
Brown rice is high in vitamin B6, contributing to a shiny coat. Both recipes feature sunflower oil,
apples, biotin, and niacin — all of which have properties that support skin and coat health.
Go! Solutions Skin + Coat Care wet foods are high in fat — probably due to their fatty acid contents. The Minced Chicken with Grains recipe comprises 47.2% protein and 27.7% fat as dry matter.

Concerns & considerations
Affordability
Go! Solutions cat food is a bit pricey — unsurprising considering its quality. At the time of writing, a 16-lb bag of Go! Solutions Carnivore Grain-Free Chicken, Turkey + Duck Recipe Dry Cat Food costs $79.99 on Chewy, at $5.00 per lb.
By comparison, a 14-lb bag of
Nulo FreeStyle Chicken & Cod Recipe with Omega Fatty Acids High Protein & Grain-Free Dry Cat Food costs $51.99 on Chewy, at $3.72 per lb.
Some varieties are high in plant-based proteins
As they're grain-free, many of Go! Solutions' dry food ranges - like Sensitivities and Weight Management + Joint Care, contain lentils, peas, and chickpeas, which are high in plant-based proteins.
Plant-based proteins don't contain all the essential amino acids cats need — some of which are only in animal products. Plant-based proteins are less expensive than meat and are often used to inflate the protein contents of pet foods.

As a result of this recall, Petcurean began rigorous independent testing of its products and ingredients. It also encouraged customers to return any items affected by this recall for a refund or replacement. As a result of this recall, Petcurean suspended production at its Texas facility and moved manufacturing to Canada.
