Go! Solutions Carnivore dry cat food is a grain-free cat kibble with high protein levels as its main selling point.

The first several ingredients in each formula are a whole cut of meat or a meat meal, suggesting these recipes are high in animal protein. For example, the top seven ingredients in the Grain-Free Chicken, Turkey + Duck recipe are whole cuts of meat or meat meals. Meat meals are highly processed but contain 300% more protein than unprocessed meat.

Secondary ingredients include fruits and veggies like pumpkin, carrots, peas, bananas, pomegranate, and cranberries, which provide natural sources of essential nutrients.

All Go! Solutions Carnivore wet cat foods are premium quality — they're made without grains, animal by-products, soy, or artificial preservatives.

The top five ingredients in each variety are a mix of whole cuts of meat, liver, broth, and tapioca. Tapioca isn't particularly nutritious but is highly digestible and works as a binding agent. Beneficial secondary ingredients include dried egg whites, flaxseed, pumpkin, and cranberries, providing sources of fiber, fatty acids, protein, and antioxidants.

Go! Solutions Carnivore wet foods are rich in protein — the Carnivore Grain-Free Chicken, Turkey + Duck recipe has above-average protein (45.4% as dry matter) and above-average fat (25% as dry matter) compared to run-of-the-mill wet foods.

Go! Solutions offer two wet foods in its Sensitivities range — a pollock or duck paté. The duck recipe includes dried egg whites; however, it's unclear whether these are duck eggs or chicken eggs, meaning it might be unsuitable for cats with chicken allergies.

As they're grain-free, many of Go! Solutions' dry food ranges - like Sensitivities and Weight Management + Joint Care, contain lentils, peas, and chickpeas, which are high in plant-based proteins.

Plant-based proteins don't contain all the essential amino acids cats need — some of which are only in animal products. Plant-based proteins are less expensive than meat and are often used to inflate the protein contents of pet foods.

Go! Solutions is one of four premium pet food brands operated by Canadian company Petcurean. It's one of Petcurean's earliest brands, founded over 25 years ago. Go! Solutions' other three pet food brands are Now Fresh, Gather, and Summit.

Best friends Ron Mayert and Dan Vanleeuwen founded Petcurean in Canada's Fraser Valley in 1999. Its headquarters are located in Chilliwack, BC, Canada. Petcurean partners with Elmira Pet Products to manufacture its cat foods at a state-of-the-art facility in Elmira, Ontario.

There have been no Go! Solutions cat food recalls recorded by the FDA as of May 2025. There has been one voluntary recall of Go! Naturals pet food, which took place over 20 years ago.

In 2003, Petcurean Pet Nutrition Inc. issued a voluntary recall on all of its Go! Natural pet food made in Texas. It issued this recall after 13 dogs and cats became severely ill after eating Go! Natural pet food. Of these 13 pets, six died.

As a result of this recall, Petcurean began rigorous independent testing of its products and ingredients. It also encouraged customers to return any items affected by this recall for a refund or replacement. As a result of this recall, Petcurean suspended production at its Texas facility and moved manufacturing to Canada.
