Dunlap Lake
In the eastern part of the nearby city of Edwardsville, your pooch can enjoy the open fields of the Joe Glik Park. This park is just 9 miles away from Troy, and outside of the fenced area, you can find bathrooms for humans, plenty of trails, and even a children's playground. For the doggos, the park provides plenty of shade, doggie toys for extra fun, and water bowls -- just bring your own water with you. The park is not very large, but it does have a double-gated entry and enough space for chasing a ball and meeting new friends! This well-kept park is free to use!36

East O'Fallon
A place where all pups can play together without separated zones for different-sized pooches is the O'Fallon Dog Park. This park is located at Rock Springs Park in the eastern side of O'Fallon, around 11 miles away from Troy. The 1.5-acre off-leash enclosed area is a great place for exercising with Fido! It's recommended that you bring your own water with you even though the park provides water in buckets. For extra fun, there is agility equipment that will surely make a pawsitive difference in your pup's mood! There is not much natural shade, but there is a small pavilion in the park.24

St. Louis Hills
Around 30 miles away from Troy, across the Mississippi River, is a furrific dog park: Southwest City Dog Park. It's located in Willmore Park in the historic St. Louis Hills neighborhood. This park is considered to be one of the largest and oldest doggie parks in the Saint Louis area. Fun agility equipment is the best part of the park; doggies love to play on the obstacles and run to their hearts' content! Water is available there, as well as poop baggies and so many toys that your pup can play with! The park does require membership, which also requires proof of current vaccinations. Twenty-one miles away, you can find a secure, membership-only dog park: Frenchtown Dog Park. This spacious park in the Soulard neighborhood provides a clean and fun environment for Fido. Big and small doggos can their own separate areas, and in both, they can enjoy the doggie toys scattered around and the pawesome obstacles! There is even a kiddie pool where pups can cool down in the summertime. Practice good petiquette and do your part to keep the park clean -- there are plenty of trash receptacles. Water is available at this park, so you just have to bring a pawsitive attitude!
