St. Louis
Technically located in a different state than Westview, this neighborhood is only 10 miles away and provides a ton of puppy friendly activities, events, dining and lodging! Lucas Dog Park provides pooches the chance to play and socialize off-leash in a safe fenced in environment with other dogs! City Garden is another fun place you and Fido can sniff out; it has sculptures and water features that are both interactive, and a gorgeous garden! Another fun outing you and your pup can get into together would be a nice afternoon spent at Forest Park. This is a very spacious yet beautiful area that accommodates leashed dogs that are picked up after.

O'Fallon
The city of O’Fallon is only 15 miles from Westview and provides locals and visitors quick and easy access to Interstate 64, and plenty fun, dog-friendly activities to partake in! Rock Springs Park and the corresponding Rock Springs Nature Center both provide breathtaking scenery and walking paths that allow on-leash dogs to stroll with their parents. There is also an off-leash, fenced-in doggie park on the premises that includes agility courses and pavilions where you fur baby can exercise and socialize all at the same time! Sonic, Global Brew O’Fallon, and Sweet Katie’s Bee’s Cupcake and Coffee Bar are the local restaurants and breweries in the area.

Belleville
Only 7.5 miles east of Westview, the dog-friendly community of Belleville provides some fun opportunities for you and Fido to get your noses in! The Swansea Dog Park invites pups to play and sniff on other dogs at their fun, fenced, off-leash dog park; a membership is required for insurance and safety reasons. Zapata’s Mexican Restaurant, The Wine Tap, and Seven Restaurant and Lounge will all accommodate your fur baby while you enjoy a nice meal and beverages. For those of you who are passing through or staying for a visit, The Super 8 and other private property owners via Airbnb provide dog-friendly lodging accommodations in Belleville.

Columbia
A short 12 miles south west of Westview, Columbia and offers shopping, dining and entertainment close by! This adorable community is cradled along the Mississippi River where you and your leashed and supervised dog can walk along the bank. It is highly advised to not go near the water. The current is incredibly fast, and will easily drown you should you decide not to heed our warning! However, the river does make for a gorgeous view, so take a camear. Who Dat’s, and Reifschneider’s Grill & Grape will happily accommodate you and your four-legged baby for a nice lunch or dinner on their patio!
Waterloo
The city of Waterloo is just a short 20-minute drive south of Westview that offers some fun dog-friendly activities! The local winery, Schorr Lake Vineyards, offers plenty of outdoor seating, where dogs are allowed to chill at their owner’s feet while they enjoy some fantastic wines. Konarcik Park has plenty of amenities like pavilions, water fountains, barbeque pits, walking paths and open fields that encourage on-leash dogs, their owners, friends and neighbors to enjoy together! Passing through or visiting? AirBnB rentals and Super 8 have you covered regarding your doggie lodging needs!
