Head out to Cliff Cave County Park in St. Louis, Missouri, which is eight miles out of Columbia, and a fantastic spot to hike with Fido. The trails range from 0.5-miles to 5-miles, and are smooth with packed dirt, perfect for any hiker and pup. The Spring Valley Trail, Riverbluff Trail, and Mississippi Trail are all loop routes, which makes it super easy to follow and hard to get lost. Watch out for the poison ivy in the park since it can get bad in the summer, and don't forget water and clean-up bags when you visit.

The Meadows

If you and your pup are looking for a place to go for a relaxing day, look no further then the Schorr Lake Vineyard. The vineyard is in Waterlook, only 10 miles out of Columbia, and a great spot to bring your pup. There are tons of outdoor seating for you and Fido to use while you sample wine, all while enjoying a great view of the river. Afterwards, grab some food at JV's Downtown Bar and Grill. This location was originally a brewery that was built in the 1880's and was transformed into a bar that is dog friendly. Make sure to get your hands on some hickory smoked pork and chicken while you enjoy their outdoor patio with your pup.

N Baltz Street/ E Washington Street

Grab some delicious BBQ with Fido by your side at Smokin K's BBQ and more. This pawsome eatery is in Millstadt, and only eight miles out of Columbia, making it that perfect car ride for Fido. While their restaurant has won awards for their delicious BBQ, they also serve other great menu favorites, like sandwiches and pizza, plus they have a full bar. Their outdoor patio is dog friendly, and their staff welcomes your pup to sit down with you and eat some great BBQ before heading back home. Both you and your pup will leave this great eatery feeling full and satisfied.

Ward One

The Paw Park at Arnold City Park is a great spot to take your pup for some off leash fun and socializing. This park is located in Arnold, Missouri fourteen miles out of Columbia. The dog park has separated areas for large and small dogs to play in. They also offer awesome amenities for owners, like benches to relax on and shade to help keep everyone cool. The park is filled with plenty of grass for your pup to roll and play on as well. Water fountains for dogs are provided, but make sure to remember your clean-up bags.

Take Fido out to the Jefferson Barracks Historical Park in St. Louis, Missouri and let Fido have a great day out. The park is 405-acres and includes picnic tables, softball fields and more.
