Northeast Stow

Around 24 miles away from Independence, you'll find a pawfect combination of a grassy area for playing and a little lake for swimming at Bow Wow Beach! This dog-friendly beach can be found in Northeast Stow, and it includes a 7.5-acre park that is securely fenced with a 5-acre lake in the middle. In this park, you don't have to choose between sand or grass, sun or shade, small dog area or big dog area -- you can have it all! Additionally, the park has a hose and a doggie wash station so you can clean off your dog. Make sure to bring plenty of waste bags with you.

West Lakewood

Lakewood Dog Park is an enclosed park located in West Lakewood, around 20 miles away from Independence, where you and your pup can have a pawfect time! The entrances are double-gated and provide an extra source of security for your dear doggo. The park is complete with plenty of benches and lots of trees that provide shade. When it comes to water availability, there is a seasonal water fountain that your pup can easily use. There is even a small dog area, and the park provides waste baggies. You'll also find toys scattered throughout the park so your pup can have even more fun!

Windfall

A five-foot fence protects the Carolyn Ludwig Mugrage Park, which provides special areas for different-sized pups where they can all play and chase each other safely. Each section has plenty of amenities, like wooded zones, gravel-covered trails, and open areas where the pups can run freely. To make things even more pawesome, this park has a seasonal pond where pups can swim and chase balls in the water. You should bring water because there isn't a water fountain inside the fenced area. Bringing poop baggies is also a good idea so you can contribute to the cleanliness of this furrific park.

Tremont

Approximately 11 miles from Independence, in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland, you can find an amazing double-gated park called the Tremont Park. It's covered in gravel and includes a drainage system. The trees that are planted throughout the park provide shade and make your time spent there pleasant. The park has a water fountain that both humans and canines can use. Other than that, the park includes 8 benches and enough waste stations so you can help out when it comes to keeping the place clean. You'll also find plenty of parking in close proximity to the park. Bring some toys and get ready to have a doggone good time!

South Euclid

Around 24 miles away from Independence is the South Euclid Dog Park, a great place for your pup to enjoy some fun agility training! The park doesn't divide the doggies by size, so if that would be a problem for you, maybe avoid this place. The open area is pretty spacious, and your pooch will surely have lots of fun playing there! Scooper dispensers are available in the park as well as a water pump and water bowls for the canine visitors. The water pump is open for use in the warmer months, so if you go in winter, make sure you bring some with you.
