Eagle Pass is a small Texan town along the Rio Grande River, which serves as a border to Mexico. It was the first American settlement along the Rio Grande and got its name from the contour of the surrounding hills, which resembled the spread of eagle wings. Today, the city is home to many more dogs, and to accommodate the city's four-legged friends, the city has established many dog-friendly parks and is home to 1 animal hospital.

The largest park to bring your pup is the Ft. Duncan Ballfields. The area makes up more than 40 acres of land with softball and baseball fields, most of them fenced-in with nighttime lights overhead. Surrounding the field is open space, with a playground, restrooms, concessions stands, and a soccer field. The park is open to leashed dogs, and even provides water fountains, benches, and picnic tables along a paved walkway.

Chittim Park is another dog-friendly place to bring Fido. The park is home to recreational baseball fields, all fenced-in with nighttime lights and bleachers. Around the fields is open space, with restrooms, water fountains, benches, and picnic tables. Dogs must be on a leash while playing or walking in the open area, but can also play safety in the fenced-in fields as long as no teams are playing.

With multiple green spaces and dog-friendly areas to explore, Eagle Pass will become a great place to live for you and Fido.
