Eagle Pass Center

Eagle Pass Center is the gorgeous downtown area of the city, backed by residential homes and the Rio Grande to the west. Right on the water is Shelby Park, a large park to play in that offers plenty of space, a paved trail along the water, a boat launch, and a fenced-in baseball field. Dogs must be on a leash in the park while they run, play, or walk around, even in the baseball field. San Juan Park is a much shadier park, with trees covering the area. There are paved paths around and throughout the park, connecting to a pavilion, a playground, benches, water fountains, and trash bins. There's even open space to play in, next to shaded sitting areas for relaxing and picnicking.

Loop 431/ N Bibb Ave

The Loop 431 and North Bibb Avenue neighborhood is a unique residential area with large open spaces. One of these is Kelso Park, a narrow place with recreational fields, open fields, and a shaded sitting area. There's a paved looping trail, basketball field, and playground to enjoy. The entire park is entirely fenced-in with water fountains and benches, but does requires pups to remain on a leash. More open space is available at the Pasquele DeBona Park, a fenced-in park with a looping trail, a basketball court, soccer fields, benches, and trash bins. Inside the park is a wide open area made of grass and sand, with covered picnic tables, restrooms, a pavilion, and a paved walking trail. Additionally, there's a fishing pier, fenced-in baseball fields, benches, and water fountains. The park also connects to the Maverick County Jogging Trail, a 1.3-mile paved trail. The featured park of the area is the Nick Carr Sports Complex, a residential park with additional open space and walking trails.
