Jamestown, Indiana is a quiet place where you and your dog can get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The small town of less than 1,000 people thrives on a slower pace that many of us as seem to forget is possible. Not only is it a peaceful place, but it is also the perfect vacation spot. The original eight families that settled here chose it because it had everything they needed to thrive -- and after a visit, you may find that you and Fido feel the same way!
There are two parks right here in town. The park in downtown is on the smaller side, but it does have everything you need for your family -- furry members included! -- to have a good time. There are playgrounds, ball courts, and even shelters to have picnics and rest after plenty of playing. Just keep your dog on his leash, and please clean up after him.
The second, and much larger, park is the Pleasant Acres Nature Park. You will find sixteen acres of trails to walk and explore with your dog here. There are picnic areas and shelters along the trails as well. Leashed dogs are welcome to hike with you as long as you clean up after them.
