Fillmore

The village of Fillmore includes single-family homes, an elementary school, and some businesses. For your daily exercise, you and Spot can walk along a country lane here. When you want to get off the road with your pup, check out the Vandalia Trail. This furrific pathway stretches west to Greencastle or east to Amo. Get fresh air and exercise here with your special pal. As part of the National Road Heritage Trail, this mixed-use path allows dogs. Make sure you keep your pooch on a leash and under control at all times. Bring along water and waste bags for your outing.

East Airport Rd

The East Airport Road area is a remote neighborhood of Greencastle that features country residences and a regional airport. Take your daily walk with Fido along wooded lanes out here. Another furrific place to get some fresh air and exercise with your fur baby is Jaycee Park. This 22-acre facility has wooded areas, a pond, and picnic tables. Walk around the water or bring a pole and go fishing while your canine companion relaxes at your feet. Dogs are allowed to join you here, provided that you keep them on a leash or otherwise under your control and that you pick up their waste.

Downtown/Depauw University

The area around Depauw University and downtown includes the campus, local businesses, government buildings, and some residential streets. There are sidewalks and walking paths where you and your pup can take a daily stroll here. For a fun outing, head to DePauw Nature Park off West County Road 125 S. This 520 acre facility includes an abandoned quarry, fields, and some forest. Hike along the network of trails with your special pal to get some fresh air in a natural setting. Dogs can accompany you as long as you keep them on a leash. Bring water and waste bags to clean up any droppings.

South Sunset Dr

Just south of the university, you'll find the residential neighborhood around South Sunset Drive. To get some exercise, you can walk your pup down the street here. For a change of venue, head to the trailhead for the People's Pathway Putnam Nature Trail. Go hiking or jogging along the paved pathway with your fur baby. Link to a network of over ten miles of multi-use trails in and around Greencastle. Dogs are welcome to accompany you if they're on a leash and under your control at all times. Make sure you have water and waste bags with you for your outing.

South Bloomington St

South Bloomington is a mixed-zone area with residential, commercial, and medical buildings. There are some neighborhood blocks where you can take your four-footed friend for a walk. If you want to treat your special pal to some playtime with other pups, check out the dog park at Big Walnut Sports Park. Let your pup socialize and get some exercise here. If you want some one-on-one time, leash up and walk or jog along the perimeter trail that loops around the rest of the park. Make sure you bring waste bags and clean up after your pooch when you visit this facility.
