Furry residents of Round Rock enjoy Round Rock Dog Depot. With nearly two acres of leash-free roaming, an agility course for exercising active dogs, and separate areas for dogs over and under 40 pounds, what’s not to like?

Several restaurants in Round Rock are pet-friendly. Round Rock Café, The Brass Tap, Pita Fusion, Beluga, Freebirds World Burrito, PizzaRev, Rudy’s Country Store, and Jamba Juice all have outdoor patios that welcome dogs.

The neighborhood of FM 1460 and Chandler Street is home to Meadow Lake Park. Pack up your pup and head over for some fresh air and sunshine. Get your pal’s four legs moving as you follow the 1.35 miles of paved trail. You’ll pass other walkers, runners and bikers, so be sure to keep your pooch on leash. Let your canine companion sniff around the grassy fields and discover the sights and smells of the area.  The park has picnic tables and barbecue grills. Invite some of your two legged friends and stay for dinner.  Two paws up for this park!

Brushy Creek Trail is perfect for dogs that have endless amounts of energy.  This trail can be accessed in the Forest Ridge Boulevard and Red Bud land area, and runs a total of 10.4 miles. Hook a leash to your pup’s collar and walk (or run) until she’s tuckered out. Keep an eye open for signs that provide information about the area’s early history. One of the bridges dates back to the 1880s. That’s pretty woofin’ old! Be sure to bring enough water to keep your pooch hydrated. By the time you head home, your pup will be ready for a nap.

Leash up your pup and head over to the Round Rock West Park for a delightful afternoon walk. Situated in the Round Rock Avenue and RR 6620 area, this pupperific park has a walking trail that stretches just under half a mile. If you’ve got an athletic pooch, take a couple laps. If your fur baby is a little on the slower side, one trip around the park will be plenty.  For a change of scenery, head over to the Round Rock West Greenbelt Trail. Clocking in at just under a mile, this paved trail runs through one of the nearby neighborhoods. You furry BFF will love just being at your side.
