I was blessed my first dog in December 2015. I haven't been a day without him since. I now know first hand what it means to have a dog as part of the family. They really aren’t much different than the other family members. I've grown quite fond of learning about and meeting other dogs around the city. Don’t be surprised if you end up with the best ever photo of your loving loyal companion.

Hello, my name is Sean and dogs have been one of my biggest passions my whole life. I took care of a dachshund yorkie mix named Marie for 15 years. She was always one of my best friends and nothing made me happier than seeing her happy. I've always had a great relationship with my friends' and families' animals, big or small and young and old. Pups of all kinds require unique attention and I'm here and happy to provide that for them.

“Home full time for walks!”

Hello. My name is Jason and I'd love to walk your dog today! I've had dogs since I was 8 and I've worked as a Veterinary Assistant in the past. I'm a very active person who loves to get out of the house and get fresh air. I have a dog of my own, a vizsla named Ditka who loves walks more than anything. I look forward to meeting your pup!

“Dog smiles and cat purrs make the day brighter!”

Hi! I am a lifetime animal lover! My parents have a Jack Russell/Chihuahua named Hazel. I just adore her! I recently lost my 17 yr old tuxedo kitty to kidney failure. I have experience with senior pets and administrating meds. I’ve been dog walking since 2018 and love it! I can’t wait to love your baby as much as you do! Note: due to Covid I take all safety precautions, including wearing a mask upon entering your home.

I am Austin born and raised, and have been a dog lover my whole life! I've worked with many different sizes and breeds of pups during my past year of professional pet care, and have also encountered many different types of personalities as well. I've worked with both puppies and senior dogs, shy and fearful dogs, and strong and leash aggressive pups too - pretty much any situation you can think of really! I am not a professional trainer(yet!) or behaviorist by any means but I have learned many helpful tricks along the way, and I really value the trust I gain in both the dogs I walk and their owners alike. I love being outdoors and can keep up with the high energy pups, but can also take it easy with the smaller and slower guys and go on a nice easy stroll or short potty break. I make sure to pay attention to each dogs' individual needs! I currently am walking and sitting full time, and am available for weekly schedules! I walk predominantly in the North/central Austin area and parts of Round Rock and P-ville. Your furbaby will always be in loving hands with me, and please feel free to leave me with any special directions or questions you may have. I can't wait to meet your pets!

“One with the wolf pack”

Since birth, I’ve always shared a special appreciation & bond with all animals; particularly dogs. I enjoy being near them, getting to know them; their quarks, and the activities they enjoy daily :-) I’ve been living with dogs as long as I can remember & at this point, I feel I am “One with the wolf pack”. A brother to my four legged kin. It’s been my pleasure to adventure with these friends of mine in all walks of life & I look forward to meeting your treasured companion too. With love, Gabriel

Raised by wolves..jk. I come from a dog family, I was an only child with minimum of 3 dogs in the house at all times. My parents were a foster dog home, along with doing obidence, conformation and agility trials. I've always lived with larger breed, high energy dogs and have the stamina to keep up with them. With that being said, I love all breeds of dogs and am familiar with the many personalities that come with them. I would love to meet your dog and become one of their many life long friends!

Hi, I'm Cameron. I grew up in Dallas with a bunch of dogs: a shih tzu, a golden retriever, and a terrier. I started dog walking and sitting for my neighbors when I was around 8 and have been in love with it since! Like I said, I have experience with all dogs big (golden retriever) and small (shiz tzu). I love all dogs. My girlfriend and I just got blue French bulldog puppy named, Benny, and we love taking him on walks - and he loves them even more! I will make sure your dogs love their walks even-even more!

Dog Walking in New Sweden

There are small towns, and then there are really small towns. New Sweden, Texas is located in Travis County. It's located about 30 minutes outside of Austin. With a population of 60, it's actually not even considered a town; instead, it's a census-designated place. Small towns aren't a bad thing, though! Its give you the chance to truly experience southern hospitality and small-town charm.

Unfortunately, small towns aren't always the most dog-friendly towns. That's the case with New Sweden, as well. There are no dog parks in town, and there are zero dog-friendly restaurants. There isn't a vet in town, either. Don't let that run you off just yet, though. Because of New Sweden's proximity to Austin and other larger towns, like Pflugerville, you won't have to venture too far to have a good time with your pup! Austin is overflowing with dog-friendly restaurants and bark parks. Pflugerville, which is only 11 miles away, has a veterinarian clinic you can take your dog to if they are sick, are injured, or just need to get their annual vaccinations.

New Sweden is a Texas town that's pawsitively overflowing with small-town charm. If you're looking for somewhere small but enjoy the amenities of having a larger city nearby, look no further!

About 12 miles from New Sweden, you and Fido can go visit Pflugerville's Harris Ridge Dog Park. Despite being divided into a side for small dogs and a side for large dogs, there's still plenty of room for your playful pooch to run around. There's agility equipment in both sections, which is pawfect for dogs who get bored easily. Waste bags are provided for easy clean-up, and there's also more than enough shaded areas where dog moms and dads can relax while their dog plays with new friends. This is an off-leash park, but once you leave the dog park, your pup must be on their leash.

Does your dog love going for walks? Do they love exploring new places? If your pooch is like most dogs, head to Walnut Crossing's Balcones District Park! This public park is about 24 miles from New Sweden. Your dog can join you for a walk through the main areas of the park, past the pool and basketball courts. They can also join you, though, on any of the hiking trails that run throughout the park. There are a few different ones to choose from, so you won't run out of new things to see -- or smell, in Fido's case -- together. Your dog must stay on their leash.

While Texas might not be triangle-shaped, don't let that stop you from visiting Austin's Triangle State neighborhood, which is home to Triangle Park Off-Leash Area. This bark park is free and open to the public. There's plenty of room for your dog to run around and play a game of fetch or even a game of tug-o-war with their new fur-iends. Are you and your pup night owls? No problem! The park is well-lit, so it's perfect whether you prefer to go at 10 a.m. or 10 p.m. Please remember to clean up after your pet; the park even provides bags!

If you're from Texas, you know how hot it can get. If you're not from Texas, now you know! Beat the Texas heat at Shoal Creek Greenbelt. This furrific spot allows your dog to take a dip in the creek that runs through the park, and we bet your dog will love to cool down by doing the doggie paddle! Even if your pup doesn't enjoy going for a swim, they'll enjoy the chance to get some off-leash exercise. It sounds pawfect to us! Shoal Creek Greenbelt is about 20 minutes from New Sweden. Don't forget to bring along a towel to help Fido dry off!

West Austin Dog Park, located about 25 minutes away in the Clarksville neighborhood, is the social hot spot for dog owners! This bark park has a ton of room for your pooch to run around, play a game of fetch, or socialize. There's also a lot of seating for dog moms and dads, allowing you the chance to make some new friends of your own. Locals do warn that your dog might get a bit dirty while having so much fun, but there's a hose in the park if you want to rinse them off. Remember to bring along waste bags for quick, convenient clean-up!
