South Semoran
The central Orlando neighborhood of South Semoran is only a 15-minute drive from Belle Isle, and it's also where you can find the Barber Dog Park. This large dog park has a section for dogs under 30 pounds, and another section for bigger dogs. There is also agility equipment at the park, and during warmer months, pools are set up for dogs to cool off in. If your dog gets a little messy at the park, fear not, because there are even dog wash stations for your convenience! The rest of Barber Park has amenities like sports fields, a skate park, and playgrounds.36

Union Park
The northeastern Orlando community of Union Park is only a 20-minute drive from Belle Isle. This is where you'll find the Downey Dog Park, which has big and small dog areas as well as time-out runs. This spacious dog park has a double-gated entry system, water fountains, and a dog wash station, as well as plenty of shade and seating for humans. The rest of Downey Park is a 47-acre park with plenty of activities your two-legged family members can enjoy, too. There are splash pads, playgrounds, sports fields, a skate park, and barbecue and picnic areas perfect for hosting family or community events.24

Southeast Winter Garden
Just 20 miles northwest of Belle Isle is the West Orange Dog Park in southeastern Winter Garden, Florida. The West Orange Dog Park has big and small sections, as well as separate time-out pens if your pooch needs a moment to collect themselves. Throughout the park, there are water fountains that both humans and dogs can use, as well as plenty of shade and pools set up for dogs during the warmer months of the year. You'll also find some agility equipment and tennis balls in the park, and there are concrete paths throughout the dark park which are convenient for those in wheelchairs or pushing strollers.12

Mercy Drive
If you drive 20 minutes north of Belle Isle, you'll end up in the Mercy Drive neighborhood of northwest Orlando. Right beside this community, there's a place called the Barnett Dog Park, and you and Spot won't want to miss it! Barnett Dog Park is part of 159-acre Barnett Park, a community park with other activities your whole family can enjoy, like walking trails, sports fields, and playgrounds. The dog park is split into two sides, and there is a trail running down the middle of it. You'll find water and doggy bags in the park, and your dog is welcome to join you in other areas of the park as long as they're on a leash.
