The Meadows

Two miles out from Elfers is the pawsome Meadows Dog Park in New Port Richey. Located inside Meadows Park, which offers a basketball court and playground, the dog park has tons of amenities for dogs. There's separate areas for small and large dogs, water, public restrooms, and picnic tables for owners to relax on and watch their dog have a good time. The park is open from sunset to sundown, giving you and your furry companion enough time to enjoy yourself at the park. The dog park is also fenced in to help your peace of mind and keep all the pups safe. Don't forget your clean-up bags while visiting.

Trinity Oaks

If Fido wants to do a little shopping and grab himself a treat, then head out to Palm Harbor. Only eleven miles out of Elfers, this great town is home to the Paws Dog Bakery which sells healthy homemade dog treats that boast no wheat or additives. Their objective is to serve your pup delicious treats that are good for him, but keeps the tail wagging. Your pup will love going in and choosing his own healthy treats. Once you're done shopping, head over to Anthony's Italian Restaurant to get your own grub on. They have a dog friendly outdoor table and welcome Fido to join you for a tasty Italian dinner.

Grab Fido and head over to the outskirts of Trinity which is loaded with dog-friendly restaurants the two of you can visit. Only four miles out of Elfers, your dog will love being able to grab a bite to eat with you. The Craft Street Kitchen serves flatbreads, burgers, and mac and cheese which your pup will be dying to try. Zim Zari California Coastal Grill has California-style meals including quesadillas, tacos, burgers, and fajitas. The Tarpon Springs Dog Park is only six miles out of Elfers in Tarpon Springs, and a pawsome place to let Fido run around off-leash and meet some new friends. The park has a separated area for small and big dogs, so your pup can play with dogs his own size. The park also offers benches for owners, shaded areas, sprinklers for dogs to run around in, a waste bag station, and agility equipment for the adventurous dogs to play on. After a fun day out at the park, check out the Yard of Ale. They offer over 20 craft brews on tab and have 74 foreign and domestic bottled beer. They also offer great food like pizza, subs, and jalapeno mac and cheese. The staff loves when you bring your pup, and will even bring him a fresh bowl of water.

Gill Dawg Tiki and Grill serves locally inspired dishes including fresh seafood options and signature cocktails. If you're on the hunt for the perfect Philly cheesesteak then The Taste of Philly is the place you want to be. Besides the tradition Philly sandwich, they also put their own unique twist on the classic sandwich with their version of the Florida Philly, as well as, burgers, chicken, and salads.
