Hi there! My name is Marissa, I am 21 years old and I love taking care of doggies! They bring such Joy to my life and I've always wanted to give back to them somehow. I have volunteered at animal shelters to help care for them, make their lives better, and make them happier till someone can adopt them. I help out my family, friends, and neighbors by walking and watching their pups all the time. I believe that pets need to get fresh air, be social, and the ability to use the bathroom as they need. Plus, the exercise for the dogs is very important every day. With me, your furry friend will be safe, satisfied, and happy. I look forward to meeting your dog and giving them everything they need and provide you with reassurance and a stress-free day knowing your dog is in good hands.
Hello! I am Sam and I have grown up around dogs and enjoy being around them. In my early days I was around a large Doberman/St. Bernard mix and once I grew up some, an Akita was our family pet until she was old. I loved being able to help train, play, walk and feed her and also had to take care of her when she had knee surgery. As I have gotten older, I've taken care of Labradors and Lab Mixes. Though it seems like big dogs have stolen my heart, I love dogs of all sizes and breeds.

You'll get to enjoy the best of the Florida lifestyle in Citrus Glen, Homosassa. Its proximity to nature parks, golf, and wildlife make it an exciting place to live. This is also where you will find the Citrus County Dog Park, which is also referred to as the Bluebird Springs Dog Park. This adorable dog park has separate sections for big and small dogs, a duck pond, and an area of the park also has a volleyball net and a shaded picnic area. This peaceful park is 90 years old, and many people have loved coming here to relax with their pets.
South Homosassa Springs is home to Howard's Flea Market, which is a spot you won't want to miss -- and neither will your dog! Howard's was established in 1972, and is the largest flea market in Citrus County with over 800 booths spanning 55 acres of land. You can find just about everything at this flea market, and there are several restaurants where you can stop in for a bite within the market as well. Howard's is dog-friendly, so Rover can join you for a shopping excursion in the warm Florida sunshine. The market also has family-friendly activities like a petting zoo and water activities.
West Homosassa Springs is right where all the action in the area is as it is where many of the area's wildlife parks can be found. The Homosassa Wildlife State Park is a beautiful spot that is a must-see if you're in the area. If you're traveling with your pet, you'll love that the park has self-serve kennels where your dog can hang out in the shade with a bowl of water while you explore the park. This is a great place to spot manatees, alligators, bears, and river otters in their natural setting.
Central Homosassa is the recreational hub of the area, as it houses the Homosassa Area Recreation Park. This park has sports fields and courts, concession services, a playground, and several paved walking paths where your dog is welcome to explore with you on a leash. This park is an excellent gathering spot for those in Homosassa as it has public pavilions and picnic tables that are ideal for family activities. While there are often organized sporting events that take place here, you'll see many people enjoying a casual game of tennis or simply sitting on a park bench and taking in the sights.
A quick 30-minute drive from Homosassa is Spring Hill, Florida, where you'll find an excellent dog park that is definitely worth the trip. Rover can sniff around and explore the Rotary Centennial Park Dog Park which is a three-acre dog park situated within a larger eight-acre park. Not only does this park have areas for small and big dogs, but it also has a particular area for therapy dogs or dogs who are especially shy or reserved. Visitors love how well laid-out and clean the park is, and your pooch is sure to meet some new friends during your visit.
