The best opportunities for outdoor exercise can be found at one of the two state parks less than ten miles away from Desloge. St. Francois State Park is nine miles north of Desloge. These range in length from 2.75 miles (Mooner's Hollow Trail) to 10.25 miles long (Pike Run Trail). All trails in St. Francois are rated as moderate to rugged in difficulty.
St. Joe State Park is five miles south of Desloge. Its four trails include two easy trails. The Paved Bicycle Trail traverses 3.75 miles that are paved and wheelchair-accessible. Pine Ridge Trail is 12.6 miles in length with a backpack camp for a real back-to-nature experience with a furry companion. Missouri State Parks are dog-friendly and permit dogs in the campgrounds and on the trails as long as they are on a leash no longer than ten feet.
