The Stonebridge Park is a 4.5 acre simple park that features primarily dock fishing, but it also gives access to the quaint in-and-out Stonebridge Trail. This neighborhood is also ideal for pet-friendly lodging! The Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Havelock will be happy to welcome up to two Fidos of any size for an additional rate per week. Visitors traveling with pets will be on the first floor to give easy access to the outdoors, where your pups can do their business in peace.36
Havelock City Center
The Havelock City Center neighborhood is a wooftacular spot to enjoy a bit of the outdoors and discover the community vibe with your pooch! This neighborhood features the City Park, which boasts numerous fun activities for you to soak up with Fido! Set on over 10 acres of well-maintained land, this park's features include restroom facilities, covered picnic shelters and grills, a drama stage, and various play equipment for kids. Pup owners are encouraged to keep their doggoes on a leash no longer than six feet in length. East-Central Havelock
The East-Central Havelock neighborhood is a safe, vibrant spot to take your pup. In this neighborhood, you'll find the modern and well-kept Recreation Center and Recreation Complex. The Center is built on 5 acres of land and features four ball fields, various field amenities, and a wooftastic children's playground. The Recreation Complex, on the other paw, sits on 50 acres of land which houses the Center, plus additional ball fields, tennis courts, a football field, and more! You and your pup are welcome to explore the grounds on foot, play a game of go fetch, or just relax as you watch the local sports team practice.12
South-Central Havelock
Take a walk to the South-Central neighborhood in Havelock to discover two local parks: Sermons Park and Tarheel Park. The Sermons Park is located just off McCotter Boulevard and features 3.3 acres of natural and well-maintained grounds. Camp among the pine forests, go fishing in the saltwater marshes, or take Fido for an on-leash hike! The Cedar Point Trail is one such dog-friendly trail to try. It features an easy-moderate difficulty hike to complete with any sized pooch, making it one of the Croatan National Forest's most pawpular hikes to complete with Fido!
