Mulberry Street
This neighborhood is home to Hudson’s one off-leash area, Redwood Dog Park. This dog park has one big, fenced area where dogs of all sizes can play together. There’s also lots of fun agility equipment in the park, including ramps, tunnels, and platforms to climb. There’s no drinking water in the park, so it’s a good idea to bring some with you. Your dog will love playing and making new friends here! If you’re hungry after the park, head to BBQ Man. Sit at one of their dog-friendly outdoor tables, and enjoy classic Southern BBQ dishes, including ribs, pulled pork, and smoked chicken.

Tremont Park
Tremont Park is a residential neighborhood with a pawsitively amazing park that welcomes dogs on-leash: T.H. Broyhill Walking Park. Located five miles from Hudson, this 20-acre park has a 0.43-mile paved loop path where you can take your pup for walks. This path takes you around a peaceful lake that’s surrounded by lovely flowers and shady trees. T.H. Broyhill Park is also home to a wildlife sanctuary, and it has a botanical garden filled with more beautiful flowers and water features. Bring some water and doggy bags with you, and have a good time strolling through this picturesque park with your dog.

Park View Apartments
If you’re looking for another great off-leash area for your dog, check out Bethel Bark Park, located on the doorstep of the Park View Apartment Complex. This park is about 18 miles from Hudson, and it offers separate fenced areas for large and small dogs. Both areas feature big fields with plenty of space for dogs to run around, and they have shade structures. Doggy bags are available in the park, but be sure to bring water with you. After the park, continue your fun day out with lunch at Abele’s Family Restaurant. This casual restaurant allows dogs at their five outdoor tables. To eat, they serve classic diner fare, including egg scramblers, sandwiches, burgers, and country fried steak.

South Mountains State Park
Want to go hiking with your pup? Head to South Mountains State Park! Located 30 miles from Hudson, this park offers over 40 miles of hiking trails, and it welcomes dogs on-leash. If you want to hike up to a beautiful waterfall, check out the Shinny and Upper Fall Trails. These two trails connect and form a loop, and they take you past waterfalls, streams, and wooded areas. This hike is 7.4 miles in total. If you’d like to go on a shorter trek with your dog, try the 1.9-mile Headquarters Trail, which takes you past Shinny Creek and through a lovely forest. You and your dog will both have a great time exploring these fun, mountainous trails!

Viewmont
Viewmont is home to Glenn C. Hilton Jr. Memorial Park, a furtastic place to take your dog for an on-leash walk. This park is 12 miles from Hudson, and it has a paved walking trail and a nature boardwalk. Both of these trails take you through a beautiful forest area, and they offer great views of Horseford Creek. Bring some water and doggy bags for your pup, and have a good time walking here. If you want to get a bite to eat after the park, head over to Fourk. This restaurant allows dogs at their outdoor tables, and they serve delicious modern American dishes.
