Dog Areas in West Babylon

West Babylon is part of the town of Babylon in Suffolk County, New York with a population of more than 40,000 people. In the 1800s, West Babylon was a high-end vacation destination for affluent families who would come from far and wide to enjoy Beaver Lake. Then, in the 1920s and 1930s, middle-class families began building summer bungalows that eventually became the full-fledged neighborhoods we see in West Babylon today. West Babylon is a primarily residential town that's a nice place to be a dog owner with many great outdoor spots nearby that you can enjoy with your dog. To keep your dog happy and healthy, there are also several vets in the Babylon area.

Massapequa, New York is just five miles and less than a 10-minute drive from West Babylon. In eastern Massapequa, there's a dog park called the Town of Oyster Bay Dog Park that is almost two acres in size. The park has designated small and big dog sections, and it has wood chips throughout. For your comfort and convenience, the Town of Oyster Bay Dog Park also has benches, picnic tables, drinking water, and a gazebo. You and your pooch will get a kick out of the pretend fire hydrant that's an awesome spot for photo ops!
