All this fun does have a price; there is a weekend admission fee between Memorial Day and Labor Day. It’s easy to see why local canines go mutts over the Blydenburgh Dog Park. This off leash area is tucked away inside Blydenburgh County Park in Smithtown. It spreads across two acres, giving four legged visitors room to dart and dash around. Since part of the park is in a wooded area, your pup’s sniffer will keep busy as he tries to located the resident squirrels. Large and small dog sections are available, as are water fountains, benches, and clean up bags. When your dog is finished playing, clip on his leash and check out the trails in the main park.
