Hi there, Christopher here. For the past 14 years I've had the pleasure and unforgettable experience of taking care of two puffballs. As I'm sure you already know, it's something quite special and unique. So if you would kindly allow me the opportunity, I'd very much like to meet your own furry friend. I promise to be responsible and give them a fun and healthy walk. See you soon!

“Walkin’ Rover all over!”
I walk my dogs every day, and in the 18 years that I have owned dogs, this has been my daily routine and joy. I personally trained my dogs to walk well on a leash. One of my dogs was two years old when I adopted him, and he was never trained to walk on a leash before. Now he loves to go on walks with his family. I would be an excellent walker for another dog owner. I am very reliable and responsible, and I treat my canine friends with kindness, respect, and love.

My name is Jessica and I have over 10 years of experience in animal care that includes volunteering in dog rescue and working as a Veterinary Assistant. I have spent most of my time walking & socializing dogs in an animal shelter, and caring for those we've saved in a privately run boarding facility. Working with animals is my greatest passion and their safety & well-being mean the most to me. I can't wait to spend time with your pet!

Hello, my name is Jazel and I've taken care of all types of animals like guinea pigs, bearded dragons, fish, birds, cats, and dogs. I love them all and like to care for them. I have experience in taking dogs out, cleaning up after them, play time, and cleaning the rooms they stay in. I also make sure their food diet is what they are eating. I help out my older sister with her five dogs when I’m not working and cuddle with my cats.

“It’s all about your pooch!!”
Hi there! I’ve been a dog lover since childhood. I grew up with a terrier mix. I continued on to eventually add a black lab rescue to my family as we already had our family dog which was a Rescue. My last two dogs were both senior‘s. With some thought I decided to start my own Dog care business. I’d be honored to give your pup the special attention they deserve for our walk!

“Dog Tested, Owner Approved”
As a child, I was firmly a cat person and thought dogs were terrifying - but then we got one! Marla helped show me that the line between cat and dog lovers is meant to be blurred. While cats are still the only animal I have tattooed on my skin, the many dogs I've taken care of will always have a special place in my heart. But don't worry, there's still plenty of room left for your furry buddy too!

Brightwaters is a small village in Suffolk County, New York.
Once formally a part of the Town of Islip, Brightwaters became incorporated as
a village in its own right in 1916. Extending from the waters of the Great South
Bay, this lovely little place is the perfect relaxing escape for you and your
pup. There aren’t any vets in the village of Brightwaters, but there are several animal hospitals and vet clinics in nearby towns of Islip, Bay Shore and Deer Park.
The Brightwaters Canal and Cascade Lakes provide many opportunities for water recreation and walks along the banks. The many large, affluent homes that line the canals are a sight to behold, carefully mixed with the aquatic life and natural beauty of the region. It is such a pretty area, in fact these ‘sparkling ponds’ are what gave the village its name in 1880 – Brightwaters.
The village has some great little parks to check out with your pup and go for an on-lead walk, the most significant being Gilbert Park and Walker Park down at the marina. Whoseepee Park is another lovely spot further up near the town centre, where you will find an open grassed area, plenty of space for a walk and a playground for the kids.
So relax, enjoy the beautiful surroundings of this place as you travel with your pup – you are both sure to love your stay.
In neighboring Bay Shore, there are lots of places to choose from when hunger strikes. Verde Kitchen and Cocktails specialises in authentic Mexican-style dishes, such as guacamole, tacos, ceviche, carnitas and more. T.J. Finley's Public House, and Changing Times American Sports Bar and Grille, are casual places with classic pub grub of burgers, wings, fries and other satisfying favourites. For something a little different, head to Tula Kitchen for a veggie feast; these guys will also lovingly provide Fido with a drinking bowl. Craving good old fashioned Italian fare? Try Gino's Pizzeria for pasta, pizza or calzone. All of these places allow pets in their outdoor seating areas.
Gardiner County Park in Bay Shore is pet-lovers
paradise, well-known for being exceptionally dog-friendly and offering a
diverse mix of beach and woodland activities. Your pup will love the dog beach,
splashing around or enjoying a cool dip while you take in the scenic views out
into the bay. From the beach to the marshland and woodland areas, here you will
find numerous trails to wander together, although your dog needs to stay on a
leash here. Exercise stations are also dotted around the place if you really
want to break a sweat. Gardiner County Park also has doggie waste disposal
stations, water fountains, a playground, picnic area, restrooms, ample parking
and an area to hose off muddy pups after their adventures.
Over in Babylon, four miles southwest of
Brightwaters, are three pawriffic places to bring your pet. The Babylon Village Dog
Park (Hawleys Lake Park) is a fenced run where you can let your pooch loose for
a while. He will love playing with like-minded pups in this secure area, while
you relax and supervise from one of the benches. Nearby, there is another
off-leash area known as Babylon Village Dog Park (Argyle Lake). While this area
is not fenced, it is designated as a dog area and a great opportunity for your
pup to have a really good run. The Southards Pond Park is definitely worth a visit too while you are over this
way, with a large fishing pond to take a walk around, paved, easy trails and
plenty of open space for picnics. You will need to have your pet back on a lead
at Southards Pond Park.
The Belmont Lake State Park in West Babylon is five miles northwest of Brightwaters, and another fantastic green space to come for an on-lead walk with your pup. There is plenty of parking at this463-acre property, and use of the facilities is free. The lovely lake provides vistas of swans and ducks, with beautiful trees and large expanses of green lawn the perfect place to stretch out for a picnic. There are plenty of benches and tables dotted throughout the park as well. Your pup will love a walk with you around the grounds on the easy paths and trails, but he will need to remain leashed at all times. If you are travelling as a pack, Belmont Lake State Park is a great place to bring the whole family, with playgrounds, picnic areas and restrooms to ensure you all have a great day out.
Jump in the car and head nine miles east of
Brightwaters to the Heckscher State Park in East Islip, a massive 1,657-acre state
park perched on the banks of the Great South Bay. This 19th-century estate has
numerous recreational activities suitable for adventurous pups. If you are a
boating family, take a little trip from the park’s boat launch for a few hours
out on the water. Alternatively, land-lovers may prefer to take a packed lunch while
they enjoy the scenic views, or take a
walk along one of the well-maintained trails. This park has all the usual
facilities, including restrooms, water fountains, a playground and picnic
areas. Make sure you bring your clean up bags and keep your pup leashed during
your visit.
