Hi, I'm Becky! I have lived in Philadelphia for over 15 years. One of my favorite things to do is to explore this awesome city with a dog by my side. I've had dogs and cats my whole life, and don't think I could have it any other way. My current best friend/roommate is George, a 5 year old pit bull/lab mix. I understand that all dogs need discipline and respect, with lots of love and exercise. I'll make sure to always keep all dogs super safe and happy.

I have been walking dogs for 3 years and have been a dog lover my entire life. I grew up with a Standard Poodle named Collette. As an adult, I lived in a house with a lovely brown anxious Aussie. I helped to care for the dog- feeding her, walking her, giving medications, and keeping an eye on her to make sure she stayed out of mischief. We also regularly took in foster dogs of all shapes and sizes. I love getting outside and moving around, so I look forward to meeting and caring for your dog!

“I love dogs!”
Hi! I’m Autumn. I have absolutely loved animals ever since I was a child. I’ve grown up around cats and dogs. For the past 18 years I have been pet sitting for family and friends. I Adopted my Australian cattle dog mix 2 years ago & she is the light of my life!! She’s very high energy so I am used to running with her every single day! Dogs put a smile on my face and I would love nothing more than to return the favor by getting them out of the house for a nice walk and keeping them company!

Being the second-most populous township in Montgomery County, Abington is busy and vibrant, meaning that there is always something exciting to see or do. With urban parks, dog parks, dog-friendly restaurants, and a highly-rated veterinary clinic, your pooch will no doubt love Abington just as much as you will.
One of the largest parks in Abington is Roslyn Park, measuring 17.6 acres in size. Here you will find a variety of sports facilities, a playground, and a paved walking trail to take you and your pooch through the park. The 13 acre Roychester Park is also worth exploring, with its playground, baseball fields, tennis courts and natural ice rink in the winter months. While dogs are allowed in both of these parks, you will need to make sure that you keep your pooch on a lead at all times, and do not forget to bring doggie bags and drinking water with you.
If your pooch enjoys being treated to a restaurant meal, then a visit to the Vintage Bar and Grill is a must. This dog-friendly restaurant serves up classic, hearty pub dishes from their main restaurant, as well as lighter bites from the Vintage Bar.
With its parks, dog-friendly restaurants and lively, energetic vibe, Abington is even more fun to explore when you have your pooch by your side.
For dogs who love a good run, Roslyn is the pawfect neighborhood to spend some time in. This is where you will find Hillside Park, which is not only home to picnic areas, sports facilities, and gorgeous waterfront views, but also to the Grove Run Dog Park. This dog park is fully fenced-off, with separate sections for larger and smaller dogs, as well as benches and chairs in each section so that owners can socialize too. Since this park has a natural grass surface, it can get quite muddy at times, so you may want to bring a towel for afterwards, as well as some drinking water and a few doggie bags.
The center of Fort Washington is just five miles from Abington, and there are several parks here worth exploring. Begin at Mondauk Park, a large park with sports facilities, picnic areas, a playground, and a one mile walking trail that loops its way around the park. In addition to all of this, Mondauk Park is also home to the MonDaug Bark Park, a fully fenced-off dog park complete with separate runs for smaller and larger dogs, and doggie bag stations located all around. For more pawsome walks, check out Loch Alsh Park, which is centered around a large reservoir, as well as Sheeleigh Park, which is home to a playground, basketball and hockey facilities, and picnic areas.
Just over two miles away from Abington is the Glenside neighborhood of North Hills, where there are even more parks to take your pooch to. Ardsley Park is just under 11 acres in size, with several sports facilities and a large playground, while the Evelyn B Wright Park is smaller, but still home to play equipment and a paved walking path. Another small park, but one that your pup will love to sniff about in, is the North Hills Park, which stretches out for just over three acres and contains a playground, a pavilion and baseball fields. Since these are all city bags, a lead for your dog is essential, as are doggie bags and some drinking water.
About five and a half miles from Abington is the center of Flourtown, which offers up a couple of pawtastic activities to enjoy with your pooch. The Wissahickon Valley Park is one of these, as this sprawling stretch of wilderness, measuring 2042 acres in size, is home to such a wide range of wildlife and vegetation that your pup will definitely never get bored here. There are four main walking trails that you can choose from, as well as several smaller ones, although you will need to keep your pooch on a lead throughout the park. For a bite to eat afterwards, head on over to the dog-friendly Scoogi's Italian Kitchen and Bar for some classic Italian specialties.
Just over three miles from Abington is the Philadelphia neighborhood of Bustleton Southwest, where there are some great dog walks to be had. The 230 acre Lorimer Park features a mixture of woodlands and meadows, and is beautiful to stroll through no matter the time of year. With picnic areas, bird and animal watching spots, and a trout creek for fishing, this is such a serene place to spend a few hours. Lorimer Park is also home to a portion of the Pennypack Trail, a 12 foot wide rail trail that stretches out for 5.4 miles, offering up panoramic views of the Pennypack Creek Valley.
