The Tamanend Upper Southampton Park is Southampton's community park, and is quite a historic spot. The park stretches out for about 100 acres, and is home to large specimens of exotic trees that were planted 60 years ago. There are also quite a few historic landmarks that you and Fido can check out within the park, such as the circa 1740 farmhouse, barn and carriage house.

If your pooch enjoys dining out, there are a couple of dog-friendly restaurants in Southampton that you should definitely not miss out on. For a quick and casual meal, take your pup to Monty's Sandwich Shop for one of their popular daily specials, while pooches who enjoy elegant American classics will love the food at Steam Pub and Restaurant, where they have 17 dog-friendly tables. For specialty chicken wings, Just Wingin' It is the place to go, as this dog-friendly restaurant has been serving up wings since 1989.

With beautiful walks to be had, as well as delicious meals at dog-friendly restaurants, Southampton is the pawfect place to go for some rest and relaxation with your pooch.
