E Bristol Rd
About a three minute drive from Southampton is the Warminster neighborhood of E Bristol Road, which is absolutely packed with parks. The Warminster Community Park tends to be the most popular with pooches, because not only is it home to a pond, a picnic area, a playground and walking trails, but this is also where you will find the Warminster Township Bark Park. This is a fully fenced-off dog park where your pup is allowed to run free off the lead, with separate sections for small and large dogs, as well as water fountains and doggie bag dispensers. Also in this neighborhood is the Munro Community Park, with its sports facilities and paved walking trail.

Buckridge Farms
Just two miles from Southampton is Buckridge Farms, a neighborhood in Feasterville Trevose with a couple of pawtastic activities to enjoy with your pooch. Begin by taking a stroll around the Russel E. Elliot Memorial Park, where you will find three sports fields and a picnic shelter, as well as a paved walking trail that loops its way around a grassy portion of the park. If you and Fido are feeling hungry after all of that walking, head on over to the dog-friendly Dino's Pizza of Warminster. This Italian restaurant specializes in authentic pizzas with an American flare, importing in ingredients from Italy and mixing them up with local classics.

Churchville
It takes less than five minutes to drive from Southampton to the small town of Churchville, which is home to a couple of parks that your pup will no doubt love. Churchville Park is an extremely tranquil park, with numerous wooded areas and various other habitats. The paved walking trail within this park will take you and your pooch along Springfield Lake, passing by its dam, while the Nature Center will teach you more about the area's bird life. Churchville also provides access to the Northampton Municipal Park, which stretches out for 89 acres and contains sports facilities, playgrounds, a paved walking trail and a butterfly garden.

Bryn Athyn
About three miles from Southampton is the small town of Bryn Athyn, where you will find some of the most impressive examples of natural diversity in the area. Bryn Athyn is home to the Pennypack Preserve Natural Area, featuring 812 acres of greenery for you and your pooch to explore. While there are 11 miles of trails within the park, dogs are only allowed to use three of these; the Creek Road Trail, the Pennypack Creek Trail and the Pennypack Parkway, each of which offer up a pawsome walk. Keep in mind that a lead for your dog is essential at all times, and don't forget to bring along some doggie bags and water too.

Normandy
About a ten minute drive from Southampton is the Philadelphia neighborhood of Normandy, where there are some tail-wagging walks to be found. The Benjamin Rush State Park is the only state park within Philadelphia's boundaries, and boasts 275 acres of undeveloped greenery. There are numerous multi-use trails here that you and your pup can walk along, taking you through everything from lush meadows to ancient woodlands. Since this area is so popular with various species of wildlife, make sure that you keep your dog on a lead at all times, and don't forget to bring some doggie bags and drinking water with you too.
