About 11 miles up the road from Wrightsville is York’s John Rudy Park, which is home to the off-leash dog park Canine Meadows. As the name implies, this dog park is a huge, fenced-in meadow. There are three separate areas of the park. One area is for small dogs, another is for large dogs, and the third section is for any dog to use. This allows your dog to play it safe while making some pawesome new friends. Make sure you bring water and waste baggies, as none are provided for you. Have a ball at Canine Meadows!

Beau’s Dream Dog Park at Buchanan Park is a bit further of a drive from Columbia; the trip will take about 30 minutes. You and your canine companion will certainly think it’s worth it, though! This dog park has everything your pooch could ever desire. For hot summer months, there’s a splash pad where your playful pup can cool off. Tennis balls are supplied for more games of fetch than you could imagine. Like most dog parks, there are separate sections for differently-sized dogs. Water is provided, but please bring along your own waste bags.

A little over 20 miles from Wrightsville, you and your pup can find Overlook Dog Park at Overlook Park! This spacious dog park has plenty of room for your precocious pup to get in some exercise off-leash.
