If you find yourself in Converse with your four-legged buddy and you need to visit a park in the vicinity, you won't want to miss Phil Hardberger Dog Park. The park is located approximately 16 miles west of Converse and offers everything your pup needs. This clean, well-maintained park has a separate small dog area. Both of the areas for small and large dogs have lots of trees, which provide decent shade. The park provides plenty of poop bags and trash station so you can easily clean up after your pup. Drinking water and a rinse station are also available.

Hidden Cove/Indian Creek
Around 26 miles away from Converse is another park that is suitable for pawesome adventures for your pup. Pearsall Dog Park is an off-leash, fenced park located in Houston's Hidden Cove/Indian Creek neighborhood. The park provides basic things like water for your pooch and waste bags for cleaning the mess. But this park has a few extra amenities, including agility equipment, which is a big plus. McAllister Park
McAllister Park, one of San Antonio's most beautiful parks, is located right in the middle of four of San Antonio's residential neighborhoods, which makes it pawfect for the dog owners who live there. McAllister Dog Park, located within the main park, can be found around 11 miles away from Converse. This off-leash park is properly fenced for safe play. Water and bowls are provided throughout the park. The park is mostly shaded and has exercise equipment to make your time spent there even more productive and interesting! Small dogs even get their own space to play here.

River Road
Nestled between San Antonio's River Road and Westfort Neighborhoods is Brackenridge Park, just north of downtown. Although the park doesn't have a separate area designated for dogs, the park as a whole is dog-friendly and you can walk your leashed pup there. There are many amenities, such as picnic tables, grills, a kids' playground, trees, shade, and more! This is the perfect place for the whole family to enjoy a picnic in the middle of the grassy fields. You can also visit the San Antonio Zoo, which is located in this park, and the Japanese Tea Garden.
Downtown San Antonio
Right in the heart of San Antonio, you'll find Madison Square Park, located just 13 miles from Converse. This park is not that big, only .65 acres, but it is pretty close to Converse, so that's a big plus. This off-leash park is also securely fenced for safe playtime! Waste bags and water are provided here, so all you need to bring is Fido's favorite toy! For the human visitors, there are benches where you can sit and watch over your furry best friend. The park is well-shaded, especially where the benches are.
