You can take long walks through the many grassy parks located throughout the area, or pick a spot to park it for a day for a picnic! When you get hungry, there are tons of pup-friendly places to chow down along the main streets that run through the different resorts. BurgerFi is one such local favorite. This little dive is an amazing place to sit outside with your dog and take in the fresh air and a beautiful view of the water.

Port Isabel

Port Isabel is a wonderful community to visit with your dog if you want a place that has both nature and amazing food that you both can enjoy! You won't have to leave your pup at home if you are planning a day out and about in this community, which is located just a short ten-minute drive from South Padre Island. You can start your afternoon by grabbing lunch at the local What-a-Burger, where you and your pup can enjoy either drive-thru deliciousness or a sit-down meal at their outdoor tables. You can then head over to Arturo Galvan Coastal Park for a seaside splash that will have your pup's tail wagging all afternoon!

Laguna Heights

Laguna Heights is a small but busy area with plenty of things for you and your pup to see and do. You will want to carve out plenty of time for your pup to explore with you along the water, as there are several beaches and parks that he will want to sniff out! Sea Garden Park is a popular attraction for both two- and four-legged nature lovers looking for a green patch of grass by the water. Pack plenty of dry, clean towels and doggy waste bags to make for easy clean up and drying off after your exciting day!

Laguna Vista

Laguna Vista is a beautiful place for you and your dog to enjoy different trails and waterside walks together. The Laguna Vista Nature Trail is designed for a multitude of hiking abilities, so harness up and head on over for a pawesome experience on a warm day. You will find grass and trees to sniff, as well as open areas that are perfect for picnics and games of fetch. Just make sure you have plenty of waste bags for easy clean-up before you leave the trail to find a fun place to grab some lunch!

East Brownsville

East Brownsville is a small but thriving corner of Brownsville, just a few minutes from Laguna Vista and a short twenty-minute drive from South Padre Island.
