Beachwalk
Beachwalk is a private, gated community in Port Aransas filled with many beautiful vacation homes. This area is conveniently located close to many of the town's amenities. True to its name, Beachwalk is just a short walk to the beach. Port Aransas Beach is a large, clean, dog-friendly beach that is sure to be fun for the whole family. The water is warm, the sand is soft, and the people are friendly. Part of the beach is also an overnight camping ground, and there are plenty of other recreational activities for your family (including your dog!) to do on the beach.

Mustang Island
Mustang Island stretches from Corpus Christi to Port Aransas, and in the northern Port Aransas portion, you'll find the Mustang Island State Park. This five-mile stretch of beach is dog-friendly, and there is also a designated dog run at the nearby campground. Mustang Island State Park not only has activities for dogs, but it also has things to do for the whole family as well! There is fishing, mountain biking, sporting events, kayaking, bird watching, and paddling trails to fill up your time. There are also several campsites on the beach, so this is a nice place to plan a family vacation.24

North Port Aransas
North Port Aransas is a busy, yet peaceful area of Port Aransas. While many small towns don't have their own designated dog parks, Port Aransas made it a priority and set up an excellent dog park for the community. Port Aransas Dog Park is a 29,000 square foot park with a shade structure and drinking water to keep dogs cool in the Texas heat, as well as separate sections for dogs of varying sizes. While this is a popular spot for locals, it's also an excellent place to meet those just stopping through Port Aransas. There is also a small pool for the dogs and some agility equipment, so Fido is sure to be entertained the whole time!12

Padre Island
Just south of Port Aransas is famous Padre Island. Notably, it is the world's longest barrier island spanning over 113 miles. There is grassy, marshy area as well as soft sand and warm water. The southern portion of the island is known as the South Padre National Seashore and it's a very dog-friendly area! Over 60 miles of the beach here welcomes dogs as long as they are on a leash. There a few areas that are not open to dogs, but there is a trail specifically for pet owners to access the beach and dogs are also welcome at the campgrounds here.
