“A walk a day keeps the doggy doctor away!”
Hello hello! My name is Isabelle and I'm a 20-year-old college student. My family has always had dogs growing up and I also worked at a dog daycare a few summers ago where I spent each day playing with and taking care of 10-15 dogs, so I have lots of experience dealing with dogs of different temperaments, energy levels, personalities, etc. I have also been a dog-sitter on multiple occasions for family friends. I'd love to meet your pup and take them on a little adventure!

Hello!!! My name is Stacy and I would like to tell you a little about myself and my experiences that will help you feel more comfortable about leaving your fur babies in my care. I was a Veterinary Technician for over 20+ years and also have had several animals of my own through the years. Since I retired from the field, I have missed seeing and spending time with clients and their animal babies! With dog walking, I can enjoy time with them again! I mean, really, why would you NOT want to be happily greeted, kissed AND get some exercise all at the same time!!??
Hi! My name is Amanda and I look forward to walking with your dog. I grew up in a house that always had a dog. I currently have a 9 year old golden doodle that I got as a puppy. I also grew up on a dairy farm so I have a love for all sorts of animals. I enjoy running and hiking so any length of walk is good with me.

Hi! My name is Julia. I was born and raised in West Allis and I've grown up with dogs and other pets which has lead to my love of animals. I'd say I love animals even more than people, and I plan to work with animals for a career after I go to college.

My name is Tim and I have been a dog lover since I was young. Growing up, we always had a dog in our house. This taught me a lot about responsibility for a pet and their care. I love spending time with dogs, both indoors and outdoors, and giving them special attention. There is nothing better than being greeted by a four-legged friend and having your face covered with kisses! I would love to take your dog outside to explore nature, play, and make sure that they are cared for so you don't have to worry about them.

Located on the scenic Rock River, Fort Atkinson is a medium-sized city that's packed with dog-friendly fun! Fort Atkinson was named for General Henry Atkinson, who was a commander of the U.S forces in the Black Hawk War. This place has a rich history, and if you want to learn more about it, you should pay a visit to Hoard Historical Museum or the Fort Atkinson Water Tower, which is on the National Register of Historic Places.
If you're more of a nature lover, you can take your dog on the Glacial River Trail; just bring some water and waste bags and enjoy the day with your pooch! Another great place to play the day away is Lake Koshkonong, located just 5 miles from Fort Atkinson.
There are no dog-friendly hotels in Fort Atkinson, but you can rest easy knowing there are three veterinary clinics to take good care of Fido during your stay. If you want to chow down while in town, you're in luck! Paddy Coughlin's Irish Pub is a furrific place to enjoy a meal. Or, for a dinner date complete with scenic water views, head to Sunset Bar & Grill. Both establishments welcome doggie diners at the outdoor areas.
If you're looking to make unfurgettable memories with your pup in a secure fenced area, you should consider visiting Paw Print Park. This 17-acre dog park is located in South Janesville, around 27 miles away from Fort Atkinson. There is water available for both the doggies and the human visitors, and the park also provides a hose to rinse off Fido after all that playing. Pups can play in one of two separate areas for small and large breeds, and there is a double-gated security system in place. Your canine companion will love running, playing, and chasing his new furry friends at this grassy park!
Looking for a dog park closer to home? Ten miles away from Fort Atkinson, you'll find Terri Tinsley Dog Park, which is one of the largest dog parks in the state! The park has four areas that cover 109 acres in total! There are two large fenced areas for small dogs and two large fenced areas for large dogs. The park charges an entry fee of $5 per dog, but many regulars think it's very worth it. Your pup can have plenty of fun here, playing hide and seek in the tall grass, running around the numerous trees, or walking on the trails! There is water available for humans and doggos, and waste bags are supplied as well.
Palmer Park Off Leash Dog Area is an off-leash, designated doggie area that is located in East Janesville, around 22 miles away from Fort Atkinson. The area is not fenced, so if you have a puppy that tries to run away, this might not be the right place for you. There are multiple trails that you can walk on that are far from the traffic, so even if you do have a runner, you can always enjoy a leashed stroll here! The area is pretty natural and wild, filled with trees and grass. There is even a small river that runs through this furrific spot! Make sure you bring water, waste bags, bug spray, and tick repellent.
If you'd feel more comfortable letting your dog off-leash in a fenced area, then you should check out the Whitewater Bark Park. This park is located in East Whitewater, approximately 12 miles away from Fort Atkinson. Dogs have to be licensed to enter, and the daily entry fee is $5. Here, you'll find designated areas for small and large dogs, and a different area for dog owners who want to train their pups. There is plenty of room for running around and plenty of doggos to socialize with. You should bring water and poop bags along with you when visiting this park.
Thirteen miles southwest of Fort Atkinson is another pawesome park, called Milton Dog Park, which is located in West Milton. The 15-acre park has designated zones for large and small pups. There's also a small playground for children, which makes this is the perfect place for a family day! There's also a washing station for the dogs during the warmer months, and you'll find a great walking trail in one of the fenced areas if you're just looking for a quick walk. If you want to train your pup, there's a K-9 agility equipment course where you can do so. Just don't forget to bring some water and waste bags with you.
