Coligny Beach
Whether it's the surf or the sand that you are looking for, Coligny Beach has it all! To make your trip to the beach complete, Fido is welcome at this furrific vacation destination too. To be certain that your favorite canine pal doesn't succumb to sunburn, you can rent a beach umbrella and towel, and don't forget to grab a chair for yourself too. Since South Carolina has strict leash laws, you'll want to be sure Fido stays leashed to avoid a run-in with the paw-lice!
Coligny Beach's stunning sandy shores are beautifully landscaped for your visual pleasure. The beach itself is just across the street from shops and restaurants, many of which allow your best canine pal to join you on your visit. But this beach is all about woofderful outdoor activities too! You can stroll the coastline with Fido by your side or even bike along the paved paths. There is ample parking for your car and even bikestands where you can lock up your bike while you hit the waves. Best of all, all parking is free at Coligny Beach. Just be sure to arrive early to get a great spot as this beach is super pawpular!
If you and your pooch could use a break from the heat of the day, why not check out Coligny Beach's gazebos and wooden benches? You can perch here to take in some shade and do some people watching too! Other pawsome amenities include bathrooms, outdoor showers, beach equipment rental shops, swings, and a playground. Don't forget to pack a bag with all of the necessary things for a furrific day at the beach including bottled water and clean-up bags.
This beach observes seasonal hours. In the winter, your pup can run on the beach with you from 6 AM to 6 PM. In summer, the beach is open 6 AM to 9 PM, but pups are only allowed on the beach before 10 AM and after 5 PM, so plan accordingly.
