Folly Field Beach

If a pawsome day trip is what you had in mind, consider bringing Fido and the fam to Folly Field Beach! This secluded seaside haven is so puptastic that the locals have claimed it as their own. Folly Field Beach offers the best country living has to offer with its tranquil, secluded shores. The beach is accessed via a verdant green wooded area reminiscent of a lush forest. Fido may happily trot alongside you on all of the beach pathways, and he is also welcome to take the plunge into the clear, warm waters for a swim. South Carolina does observe leash laws so be sure to bring a lead for your favorite furry friend to keep the local paw-lice away!

There are two small parking lots where you can leave your car while you while the day away on the sandy shores. However, you'll want to come early to be sure to get a spot as parking is very limited. Parking costs 0.25 cents per 15 minutes or $1.00 per hour. 

This pawrific spot is the pawrfect place for a day of fishing, swimming, flying kites, or even just lounging around on the coast with your best canine bud by your side. The ideal place to enjoy a picnic, you'll want to be sure to pack a lunch to enjoy on the grounds. Don't forget some Scooby Snacks in case Fido needs something woofderful to nibble on!  A handful of cleanup bags to carry with you are a good idea too. 

Bathrooms are housed on the premises for the pawblic to use, and there are also outdoor showers. Drinking water is provided to help keep your pooch from getting parched, and there is a pop machine where thirsty people can grab a drink or two. In summer, the beach is open from 6 AM to 9 PM, but dogs are not permitted on the beach between the hours of 10 AM to 5 PM from the Friday before Memorial Day until after Labor Day. In winter, the beach is open from 6 AM to 6 PM, and Fido can enjoy every minute!
