Savin Hill and Malibu Beach

Savin Hill and Malibu Beach is the pawfect place to go for a beach day without having to leave the city. This pawsome beach allows doggos during the off-season, and the surrounding park welcomes them year round with both paws. The beach looks out over the Dorchester Bay Basin, with views of the nearby Dorchester Yacht Club.

There is a small free parking lot adjacent to the beach, but it fills up quickly on a nice day. Once you arrive, you'll find all the essentials for a day at the beach, including a bathhouse, and even a doggy waste bag receptacle. The surrounding park attracts a lot of pet-parents, so chances are your pal is in for some pawsitive socialization. 

The beach is located on a bay, so the water is quite calm and safe. There's a low chance of waves and zero chance of sharks. If it's rained heavily, the water quality may have dropped, so you may want to double check before you dive in. Otherwise, your pal will be able to frolic in the water and sand with their new furry friends, or simply relax with you on a beach towel. 

This family friendly beach and park has many other features, including a playground, picnic areas, and baseball fields. Your fur-baby will especially love taking a stroll or a heart pumping jog along the wide boardwalk with you. It's the ideal pathway to add to your morning walk with your best pal and catch the sunrise. 

Dogs are welcome on the beach during the designated times, as long as some ground rules are followed. These include keeping your pal leashed and picked up after at all times. Be sure to bring any essentials along, such as water for you both, and clean-up bags.
