Wollaston Beach

In Quincy, Massachusetts, you can find some great treats for you and your pup. One of these is Wollaston Beach, a part of the Quincy Shore Reservation. This beach is a 2.3 mile stretch of sand along Quincy Bay. It's a woofderful place to get some exercise, enjoy the views, or simply spend some time with your four-legged friend. 

After you reach the free parking lot on Quincy Shore Drive and unload your pup from the car, your adventure begins! While dogs are only allowed on the beach during the off-season, Wollaston Beach features a paved promenade that welcomes leashed pooches all year round. This paved pathway is great for a leisurely stroll, or a heart-pumping jog with your canine companion. There are food stands and restaurants along the way if your stomach starts growling, or you're craving a frosty treat. 

During the off-season, your pup is free to enjoy playtime in the water and sand. It's a great way for your pal to get some exercise and enjoy some pawsitive socialization. It has been said that the water quality at this beach can be questionable, especially after a heavy rain. Be sure to check the reports before diving in. Even if you should choose not to swim, you can still enjoy the views over the water. This beach is known for having gorgeous sunsets, with the Boston city skyline as a backdrop to boot. 

This family friendly beach also features picnic areas, playgrounds, and restrooms. If you and your doggo are itching to take a stroll down this long, open beach, please follow a couple ground rules. This includes making sure your pal stays respectful towards all, and picked up after at all times. Don't forget the doggy waste bags, and some biscuits for your good boy or girl!
