Whether you lounge in the grass just outside the dog park doors or send Fido in to make some new canine pals, you and your dog will have a barking great time here, for sure! This wooftastic dog playground is not fenced, so you will need to keep your pupperoni on a lead at all times.Â
The dog park, formerly known as OK Corral, is one doggy play space that offers canine companions just a little bit more! The dog play area is lined with astroturf which means rain or shine, your pupper has a pawrific place to have some fun. There is also a modern swimming pool where your pooch can take a dip to cool their jets after their day of burning off pent up energies! Water fountains are provided on the premises, so you won't have to worry about toting along bottled water from home. You will still want to bring some cleanup sacks though as none are provided at this barking great park.Â
One of the most interesting additions to this puptastic pooch playground is a sound wall which helps to absorb the noise of happy, yappy, barking puppers! Your doggo can enjoy using their outdoor voice without fear of disturbing the peace at this terrierific doggy hotspot.Â
Other attractions can be found in the surrounding family-centric James Hunter Park which include a terrace, large open grass lawn, wooftastically beautiful gardens, a wildlife exhibit, and water features. You could even pack a picnic lunch to enjoy on the grounds. Don't forget to bring along some Scooby snacks for Fido too, or you might find yourself having to share your food! The family areas of James Hunter Park are open until 10 PM, but you'll want to note that the dog park closes at 9 PM each night.Â
