The Lake Shore East Dog Park is a small area that offers the most shade in the park. Parking for the park can be found along the main roads that surround the park, which then connects to sidewalks that connect to the dog park. There are two entrances, both of them are double-gated entrances that provide information about the park and rules. Once inside the park, you'll find a nice .14-acre space that shows off a mixture of paved paths and grassy portions, all completely covered in shade for park-goers.
This park can get pretty busy despite its small size, and plenty of pups like to play and roam freely here, especially with the option to enjoy amenities such as water fountains for humans and pups, clean-up stations, benches, and trash bins to use. The park also offers no small dog area, so larger and smaller pups will have to mingle in the smaller space available to the dogs. Although there is room to play fetch and to socialize.
Dogs are also welcome in the larger part of Lake Shore East Park, where they can walk through the gardens, play in the open space, or enjoy water fountains in the hot summer months, leashed of course.
Both parts of the park will delight you and Fido, providing space to walk, play, and have a blast with other pups from around the city.
